Buying Advice Skid steer with gas engine

/ Skid steer with gas engine #11
I had a Kubota engineer in Fort Worth, Texas want to follow me home to observe me using my Kubota tractor so he could look for ways to improve their products. That is how much Kubota cares about their customers.

I am glad to hear that, sounds like they want to make the product better. Shame it is a problem but every company makes mistakes and it is how they handle it that matters. We often hear stories here when other companies don't want to fix the problems and try their best to not cover them under warranty.

We have Genie Boom manlifts at work with Ford gasser industrial engine . Reliable to the point of being boring. Starts in any weather and runs on gas or LP.
The D@mmed new world order EPA zealots that want to regulate the peasants back to walking for transportation are the problem.

I would suggest maybe looking at doing a full emissions delete once you are close to (or out of)warranty?

Sorry, thought you posted that? Mea culpa.

You blame politicians for a problem part on your Tractor?? Which politicians do you blame? Do we need more government sticking their nose into private business.

Which politicians do you blame? EPA

Do we need more government sticking their nose into private business? DEF is the government sticking their nose into private business.

The Tier 4 DEF problem is NOT a small issue. It can leave you stranded on the open road, send my tractor to the shop for a month + or- with seed and fertilizer sitting in a barn when it has a small window to be put out, cost thousands of $ in repair bills. All this with a two hour or less time clock notice on your instrument panel that your tractor will shut down. I don't know how much money EPA thinks their is in farming or how much free time they think I have on my hands, or extra tractors I have to takeover when my new tractor has to spend a month at the dealer and still at the dealer. As far as Kubota trying to get out of the warranty coverage-- they said it is covered, but I have not received my tractor back yet. This story is not over.

The EPA had eight years of the C l i n t o n s and eight years of O b a m m y to set what ever rules and regulation they wanted.

Thank you buickanddeere for your post. My tractor may be in the shop but I feel better after my rant! Love tractorbynet for giving us a voice and love Kubota for building quality products. Hate the EPA because their only motive is political. Happy New Year to all!!!

Gasoline / LPG / Natural Gas[edit]
WG/DF/DG Series[edit]
Unlike most manufacturers that build their gasoline engines and diesel engines based on different platforms, Kubota builds its gasoline/LPG/NG (natural gas) engines based on its diesel engines. The WG/DF/DG engines are solidly based on Kubota's Super Mini Series, Super 05 Series, 03 Series, and V3 Series diesel engines. This makes most of parts are interchangeable between Kubota's gasoline/LPG/NG engines and diesel engines in the equal engine series.

i cant imagine why any farmer, and even more-so a homeowner, would want to involve themselves in the unending def/regen problems that plague these things. buy something a few years old and have none of the issues
