Need Help!! battery Kubota BX

I took out the battery yesterday to put it on the trickle charger. When I put it back it's a real tight space so had to use socket with extender. It sparked as I hit metal with extender. I dropped it while it was still connected and it fried battery and ground wire.

Don't see anything else fried but ground wire. Could I have fried the electronics?

Don't want to wait until dealer opens on Tuesday. Where can I get another battery on a Sunday New Years eve? Also any 12v battery that fits in the compartment with as many CCA's as possible? Nothing in the manual

How the **** do you tighten the positive connector without using a socket with extender and risk doing the same freakin thing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yup, Physical size, electrical size as well as orientation of the the terminals.

How the **** do you tighten the positive connector....

Either tighten the positive first (which is the proper way to do it so you don't end up shorting something out, ground off first on last) or if there's some physical reason you have to do the negative first, wrap the entension and sockets with a couple of layers of tape. not the recommended way but sometimes you gotta do what you have to...................Mike

positive wire on first then ground when installing , ground off first then positive when removing

Pretty sure when I replaced mine last year on my BX24 I got the same matching battery number at Wally World.
Also, both + and - leads on mine pull out far enough I attach the leads on the platform floor and then push the attached battery into its spot and fasten it with the rubber strap.
And what other comments say for order of attachment.

Thanks for the quick replies!! But the batteries a real funky size. Looked on Tractor Supply website and it wasn't very helpful. Just drive around to autoparts stores with dimensions? Also I should replace the ground as all the rubber is burnt off. It's really long where would I get a ground that long? Again tractor supply no help

Missed that last post. I'll try Walmart for battery but what about ground wire?

Any auto parts store will have a ground wire

Walmart will have ground wires too, usually by the auto batteries.
