What bothers me the most about the current status of pot is the fact that here in the United States of America...The EXACT same thing that you can legally buy and consume in one state can get you life in prison in another...it just ain't right IMO...and something definitive needs to be done about it...

So you want more federal government control...

That's going to be the argument you'll get... its not my opinion. States rights VS Fed rules is a hot topic. There's tons of folks that don't want California ideas becoming law in the midwest... that's another argument you'll get.

So when is somebody going to invent a dooby that don't have to be rolled like a white turd and is tight like a cigarette, maybe even with filters? :confused2:

I learned how to roll cigarettes when I was about 14, for an older sibling that smoked, but had some coordination issues.... use a bill like this.

Moss, you are correct, I'm very sorry, for some reason I thought you posted that link, it was Pine. Sorry.

No problemo.

I hope you can appreciate the irony of discussing bad reporting and not having the facts straight.

Please continue the discussion.

I think my next admission has extended beyond the Statue of Limitations,,,, so here goes..... 40 years ago I had a roller that would produce a dooby that you would struggle to tell from factory rolled. Had the option of adding a filter if the user so chose. First time I saw one used was on a Merchant Marine ship in Vietnam. Some of the crew carried Marlboro hard packs in their shirt pocket with a mix of Marlboro and dooby.

Was that one of those rollers that opened like a wallet and had a leather looking sheet in it. You'd load the paper, load the pot, close it, and the rolled joint would pop out the slot at the end?

Or one of the hand crank rollers?

When Pine first posted it, the author was a female.

More fodder for the crap we call news media.

The latter story link that Pine posted was a reuse of the original story with subtle changes.

I have this vision of all these people frantically pecking away at their computers, copy/pasting everything they can find, trying to have a credible edge. While we are the meek sheep being led to the delusion called "honest media".

Nothing reported by AP media regarding the legalization of MJ in this country will result in any change. Tomorrow we'll have the same legal confusion that we have today. But the people slinging this hash will get their pay check. :(

The AP story was by a female. The story that was linked to in there was by that Jeremy fella and that's the story you pulled the quote from in bold. ;)

Anywho.... more joints, less politics.

Definitely not control...but some legislation that would set minimal guidelines requiring a uniformity but legally allow states to write their own laws within the guidelines...I think the SCOTUS should set maximum penalties for all victimless offenses...

What part of the Constitution gives the feds any power to get involved in this? The government needed to pass a constitutional amendment to effect a ban on alcohol.

Scotus does not set penalties for crimes. That's a legislative function. Even the existing sentencing guidelines exist as a creation of Congress.
