Our little girl is 18 months old now and she has become the Giant Slayer in the dog show world. She achieved her Championship at 9 months, and then her Grand Championship at 17 months. She is 75 pounds and the smallest Akita in the ring. In almost every show, the male usually wins. They are more impressive in every way, but Kami is perfect, and perfect beats big almost every time. She won 12 Best of Breed wins in a row and has 15 so far. She has three Group 3 wins, and one Group 2 win. The Group wins are from competing against other breeds. Only the Best of Breed dog gets to compete in the Group ring, and those points count differently then just Breed win points. Witht 30 breeds in our Group, that's a lot of points when you place fist through forth.
This is a big month for competitions, then a lull in February, then March is another big month. The year goes from June to May. So we are working on points to finish off the year in the top ten!!! That is our goal. Every Akita ranked higher then Kami is 5 years old or older. As a puppy, she's truly amazing!!!
This is her group 2 win.

Here is her Grand Champion certificate
