Losing power

The Napa guy is right, use the white bottle. I've never had any luck with that 911 stuff any way. However, some guys swear by that 911 stuff.

Phillip- I have only used 911 once or twice to remove water from old fuel. It seems to work. The Mr Filter water/fuel separating funnel works. I never needed 911 when I used that filter. I have a new one.

Problem solved!! There was ICE in the bottom of the fuel filter bowl. It was a new filter installed in October and the tank was as full as I could get it in November. I had to take a screwdriver to carefully get the ice out. Put it all back together and put a shot of the white bottled additive in the tank. I tried starting it but it would only run for three or four seconds and then die. So I got a small space heater and put it blowing straight on the injector pump. Went inside and sat down for a half hour or so and cranked up and it ran. I let it idle for a half hour, cleaned off my driveway, and put it in the shed.

The NAPA guy said the 911 stuff in the red bottle would pull all the moisture out at once and settle it to the bottom of the tank. Said I would have to change two or three filters before I got it all out. He only recommended using it on something like construction equipment or semis that have a very good filter system.

The little magnetic heaters have worked for me before but only if the tractor is inside out of the wind or covered with a tarp. To be really useful it seems they need to be left on overnight.

Just my opinion.

I'm not saying it's a bad product. I've only tried it a couple few times and didn't have much luck with it. I've given up on it. If I have trouble, I just go get a new filter, put some howes or power service in and go that route. I know there are guys who swear by it. Maybe they know something about the stuff that I dont.
