The attached
Parking Brake Parts pdf are the hand brake parts I ordered from the dealer in England (expensive shipping from England) (after checking online I now think these parts are available here also) and they all bolted right in with no modifications including hooking the cables to the brake cylinders. I just removed an access plate on the floor beside the seat
Parking Brake Floor Mount pdf attached and installed the parking brake handle and cables
Parking Brake Handle Installed pdf attached. I had to cut out a piece of the plastic cover for the handle.
The original brake cable brackets sent from England were wrong but I found the left one here. I changed out the rear tank bracket with part #84367147
New Fuel Tank Bracket with attached Brake Bracket pdf on the left side. My dealer was able to get this part for me after I gave him the part number. The right side was another story. The part # 84382044 the right side bracket is not available currently (maybe NH will make it available soon), but I was able to get an engineered drawing of the bracket
Brake Bracket Drawing pdf. and ordered a duplicate of the right bracket on my tractor #84296099 then remanufactured it using parts of the wrong bracket that was sent from England #48081225
Brake Brackets Purchased pdf attached. I removed the longer cable brackets leaving the shorter one, cut down the back plate of the wrong bracket then attached it to the duplicate bracket
Brake Bracket Right Side Made from two pdf attached. I then replaced the right bracket on the tractor and attached the cables to the remanufactured bracket, the transmission and the right brake cylinder. After adjusting the parking brake handle the parking brakes works ok.
I had problems converting the metric measurements and I attached the cable bracket for the right brake approx. 3/8 inch to close to the brake cylinder causing the saddle in the parking brake handle to not be level but it works! Maybe some day I will fix the bracket or better yet maybe NH will make the correct right bracket available in the USA that I can purchase. But for now no more leaving the tractor in neutral while hooking up implements. I can set the brake and it stays right where I backed it to. I don't have to worry about rolling it back and forth to get the parking pawl to engage. I rarely if ever use the transmission parking pawl now. This will be much safer for my kids and myself. Currently looking into how to hook up parking brake warning light. If I get this figured out I'll post also.
The original parts were $440.00 plus shipping $155 from England then I bought the left tank bracket and the right bracket here for $178.00 plus shipping.
Hope this helps let me know how you make out.
