Diesel and kerosene 50/50 mix?

If you have 50/50 you won稚 need any antigel, just some water dispersant if you can find it as a stand alone.

I think I would like to know what lubricating properties Kerosene has? Is it the same as Diesel? For the pumps and injectors.

Next to no lubricating properties. Closer to furnace oil. If it痴 an automotive blend they will add some in but not enough in my opinion.

Less lubricating properties than #2 That's why i would add sum , cheaper than a pump or injectors

Ultra Low Sulfur diesel (ULSD) has by nature less lubricating properties than the old diesel. And 50% kero is a high percentage. Most blends are typically 70/30 or 60/40. I see your in NH. Is this by chance an Irving location?

Most diesel additive packages do contain a lubricity additive.

This is off-road diesel which I've never seen Irving sell.
It came from a small independent place. I avoid Irving when possible.

I would avoid the small independant places at all cost. Buy from the busiest place you can find. As others have already said 50/50 will not be a problem. #1 diesel is basically straight kerosene or Jet fuel and can be used alone in really cold climates.

I add a lubricating additive into regular pump diesel. If I get furnace oil to run in the tractor, then I put in a double dose just to make sure.

Around here when you get fuel delivered off-road diesel and #2 heating oil come from the same truck and compartment, sometimes if you order blended fuel you will have to wait a few days for them to get enough stops to run a truck or they will fill one compartment with #2 and one with #1 and blend when they get to your tank. The fuel I put in my pickup comes from the stations in town.
So the blending is up to me as are the additives, so every thing gets a normal dose of Power Serve (the white bottle) and I have a summer and a winter tank the winter tank is 50/50 blended with a heavy dose plus an added lub additive

The term "diesel fuel" is actually a rather subjective term. It includes any fuel that can be used in a diesel engine, which is pretty broad. Diesel #1, diesel #2, fuel oil #2, kerosine, are all commonly run in diesels, but depending on how they are marketed, will not necessarily have the same additive packs. Only Diesel engines require lubricity and high a cetane number.

GTL and biodiesel are typically formulated specifically for diesel engines.
