When I first got this place, I had to go submit an edit to GoogleMaps, because it was showing my neighbors cow shed as my house. Now the two were pretty approximate in value back then, but really? Now with the tax assessments, I should have kept it that way. LOL.

And yes, I too do not show up on Street View. Which I think is OK by me.

If I were Squeak, I'd be in perpetual frustration. All those yummy fish....I can see the cat walking from one tank to the next; RS better make sure the tops are secure or Squeak will get in there like a heron fishing...with a paw.

She'll often hop up on the table that the 10G tank with the Julies sits on when I open the hood to feed them.

Gets up on her hind legs and puts her two little front paws on the edge of the opening and just watches all those lil' fishies swimmin' round and round ... is totally fascinated.

Ran into the Depot and exchanged the $7 bulbs that would not work with my lights for the $15 ones that I hope will. Hope to work on them this afternoon. Very windy here but nice out.

I got my LED tubes at Menards. It was $59 for a box of 10. Sylvania bulbs. When I asked the floor person in the area he said I needed to rewire to make them work. Took a picture of label. Then looked them up on google. They were replacements for fluorescent tubes with no wiring changes. They have worked great all winter.

Jbrumberg my wife sounded like a kitten purring when she breathed - that can't be good. But we are finished with the "thing" and feeling great again after 3 weak weeks.

Yea, they paved half of it this last spring, we will have to see how well after the frost leaves this spring. I would have preferred they leave it dirt/gravel it kept some of the traffic down and some was slower.

I went out at 9A.M. to start plowing, did 4 driveways, stopped to talk to 3 neighbours and spent about 45 minutes on this place. There was 1/4" of ice on top of 4" of snow. I've been inside since noon and we've got another 1/2" of fresh snow. I'll probably go out again tomorrow and do it again.

July 27, 2012 google mapped my area and the lane to the house is just that. A lane but no house, nor shed. The neighbour across the street, her house doesn't show up either and she is within 100' of the road and clearly visible.

My old house was on a corner, the side road went to a high school, last day of school looked like a paper drop!
Where I am there痴 only 200 of frontage but I get my share of fast food and beer bottles, especially on weekends.

I lived on a corner at a busy intersection for a few years before I left Granite City. I was picking up garbage about every other day there. I never could understand why people think it's OK to do that.
We have 200' along the front at our place, too. It's not just us, though. It's everywhere. Seems like people think once they're outside of town it's perfectly fine to just chuck things out the windows.

The rain stopped here early PM, but the fog has been sticking around intermittently all day even after when the sun broke out midPM. It actually made it to 40ºF for about 10 minutes. The driveway is still glaze ice; the rain did a good job smoothing the ice out. Luckily Wifey bought 5G of CaCl2 deicer during today's supply run which will address the ice near the entranceway. Tomorrow's anticipated sun + all the spread wood ashes should melt the driveway despite the temperature.
