Good morning!!!!

Ron, not sure when the dot was put on the map but I bet it was not in winter. They rowed a boat up river from James Town and that would be nasty in winter.

Finished restoring the block plane to good working condition and cut a recess in a board to hold my sharpening stone, cleaned it out with a thrown together router plane.

Drew, when are you going to decide who to sell your camper to? :) Ed

It never made it to freezing today, but the the sun (and increasing angle) and no real wind made for comfortable outside activities today. The Homelite electric woodsplitter got a decent workout today. I have +1 month's worth of kindling stacked. I finally found a gnarly piece of rock maple that the splitter could not split,

Buppies was right on with his weather prognostication a couple of pages ago. The roller coasting temperatures here in NE will end with the Saturday PM arriving Great Lakes Clipper that brings NE some rain or snow with the last of the warmth and which now appears to be morphing into a coastal low pressure system near the MA coast which will probably be an all snow event Monday PM/Tuesday. Weather models are starting to focus on what appears to be a decent coastal storm for the Gulf states and entire coastal CONUS with good moisture feed from the Gulf of Mexico the end of the week. That could be a classic nor'easter by the time it arrives in NE. Who gets what will be timing and tracking dependent. And there are weather models reflecting another potentially wrong weather system the second week of February. It will be cold in TX, and there may be a rain/snow line setting up somewhere down there.

I really hope that everyone had a manageable day today.

I hope that all the sick and ailing here, and their families, are all one day closer to health. Being really sick gets really old fast. Hang in there.

Ed, you know, I haven't had to worry much about that since I seem deluged by lowballers,
looky lous, tire kickers and general ingrates. They seem to be missing a zero in there someplace.
When they find that missing zero, to the rear..., then we'll have to go to a thorough inspection of character.

Most of which will depend upon the brand of tractor they drive, or drove recently.
I need to be fairly discriminatory. No Zetors, sorry. Though actually I think my grandfather came from that area...
Well ok, Zetors are back in.
Fendts, well.......
And one of those fancy New Hollands with the leather seats. I think I know a Texan with one of them.
He just has to get his zero's right.

Mama didn't raise many fools in this group...;)
So, it's going to take big money and a nice tractor. Sounds reasonable, right?

It's been a long day but a good day, which is why I'm happy to sit down and chat. Washed the rv carefully, lot of exercise, that part all good since I didn't throw
anything out. Then, since I studied the weather forecast and I've got warm weather for three days, and only three days, it was time to test the water system on the rv.
The absolute worst thing you want when showing your prize is to have water shooting out on prospect's feet. Or something major simply not working. Didn't wake up from winter.
Happily every system worked great, fridge and hot water heaters, no leaks underneath. I was amazed.

I needed to let the hot water heater run for a bit to test it, so I went back in the house feeling quite pleased with myself, a big load off my mind, visions of toilets leaking
or that shower head fitting I overtightened spraying water through plastic cracks. Nope, all good. Except for the lake of water now on the bathroom floor.
Oh my. Quick toweled that up, and then the marvelous hunt inside hidden compartments to find the leak. Unscrewed some panels, down on my stomach in the bathroom, and
spent some time with the flashlight going over all the Pex connections. One looked wet, but it turned out to be drips from above.

Simple problem, garden hose connector on inside of wall connected to street water/my garden hose was simply loose from vibration. Tightened it as tight as I could with hand pressure, which was almost a full turn, and no more leaks.
Yeah. Lucked out. So I can absolutely say it did work if someone shows up when it's 22 degrees out because I'm not putting water back in until it really warms up. Credit given to Jayco
in designing simple master water drains that really do get the water out. Haven't needed to blow air into system as needed in many rv's.
And the forecast is for it to get really cold here again. Those guys up in Canada are doing a terrible job of keeping the bloody cold to themselves.

My Mother taught me to share everything I had. Besides, we are keeping the really cold air and just letting you have the cool stuff.

I jump in with a bid of $2500.00 and I am almost as close as Buppies and I have owned 2 Massey Ferguson tractors. Ed

Speaking of Tire Kickers, Don and I are expecting new tires on our future trailer.

Ok then, more zeros to the Right as requested. 2 x $2000.000.

Now then ....... when will you heading to Texas?
