I use mine all the time. Have never worried about when it does a desulphate cycle. I also have a digital volt meter on the dash. Never put charger on unless voltage is less than 49 volts. Not sure how accurate this voltmeter is.topped off my batteries today, reassuring the amount taken was very similar throughout the six batteries.
Found some corrosion on one interconnecting cable, have battery cleaner spray in barn.
Hooked up my new smart charger for the golf cart, to my Trojan T-875's and it's now blinking away.
Sure hope it will be in desulphate mode by the morning.

Here is a good chart to use when checking your batteries.
I was always adding water to batteries with OEM Charger. Not a speck of water on top of batteries since I got the Battery Saver. Makes me lazy should check water level today.
