Good morning! 40˚ heading to 60˚ North wind, sunny. Today looks like a good day to paint the back porch (South) railing.

0 going to a high of 12 and mainly sunny. Wind NE 6 mph.

I have nothing planned for today. We will see how long that lasts.

RNG; Chicken makes a good lure. Now all you gotta do is blast the little booger to kingdom come.

If it is not afraid of people, then there is a good chance it is rabid. Do you really want to take the chance of getting rabies?

Have a safe day all,

Drinking first cup of coffee. 26° with light snow this morning. Heading to 27° with snow accumulating to 3". Not much planned today.
LS and others. Thanks for your service.
Drew. I had a spring harrow for years. Used a boom pole to lift it off ground at end of field and take it back to it's storage place. Boom pole works with lots of attachments.
RNG, retirement is the best thing I ever did. This is my 14th year.
Prayers for those not feeling up to par.
Good Morning All.

I'd never heard of a pulse charger until you mentioned the Battery Saver, Ron. Looked 'em up and their pitch makes sense, especially the way the plates stay clean over the years. The 2701 looks like their best model, but for some reason Amazon doesn't stock them. I have a note into BS asking if that 50W charger would harm a small motorcycle battery. I'd like to use just one charger on everything, and rotate it through the fleet. I'll let you guys know if they get back to me.
Did you mean 1702? I think the 2365 LCD has replaced it.

42 outside this AM. That might be the high for today. Some wet (snow/rain/sleet/mix) is expected later on tonight.

I had a pretty good day yesterday, left the wife for a short time while I went to restock the food cabinet and fridge. It's a good way to de-stress too. Well seems even God was telling me to chill as I got home. I noticed out back, there was a lot of activity as I unloaded from the car to the house.

I hope all have a safe and productive day today.

Wonderful picture Mike. You and your wife have been through the ringer, and it will take a while to get back where you were.
Very important you take care of yourself during all this. None of us are indestructible for sure. I've been through what you've been through, repeatedly,
and just watch your BP. Good time for some annual bloodwork to make sure you are doing ok. All that stress, every day, every night, is very hard on a person.
Take good care of yourself too. I bet your wife wants that too. Being physically active, if you can, is really helpful. Sometimes I just needed to wail on something.
You get so wound up inside and you just have to release the spring. Eating good healthy foods and hydrating certainly can't hurt. No more double stacked corn beef on rye.
well, for a little bit. ;)

In the 50's the reading material was a bit different than today to say the least. The Readers Digest was always a source of a good two or three hour read.
Very conservative family oriented stuff I knew was "old fashioned" when I read it, particularly the Mother will have the house cleaned and the dinner ready for when
Dad came home from his terribly hard day at the office in his coat and tie. I knew that wasn't exactly right.
My mother was going to law school while we were growing up, and I wound up with both parents being lawyers.
All of us kids had to pitch in and do housework and there was no whining. Washed all my own clothes.
Khaki pants and Niagara spray starch. It wasn't fun...but actually some good skills to learn later in single life.

But i do remember one huge thing in the Reader's Digest. I learned it was good to laugh. Why?
Laughter Is The Best Medicine. It had its own section.
I bet a lot of you read and laughed at those oh so tame jokes.
So if you can laugh at yourself and laugh at at least some of Life, you can't help but feel better.

Even if you can say, we made it home, and laugh about that. Big smiles have a way of leading to grins
which have a way of leading to a laugh. Stay positive. Sometimes you just have to go further than you thought.
All in the good work of life.

Anyone who drives a tractor knows that. ;)

Besides, I started off my day by getting crapped on. Guess I'll have to get out the ladder when the rain stops.

I dated and labeled a couple thousand previously scanned digital pictures today. Digital pics are great, a script pulls the date and prepends to the filename. Then i add location and info about the pic. The problem is the old photos. Ones taken with dates on pics are a little easier, but still have to manually put in the date. For older undated pics, i had them in albums by date already.
In the days of film i took 600 - 800 pics a yr. With digital its 2000 or so.

They can be dated wrong if you’ve used them in other files, then they will show the date they were included in the new file. The original copy will still be correct.

It’s a rainy cool morning, warm spell over.
February is almost here, it’s the shortest month and with March comes spring. The world greens again, fresh growth abounds. But with it we must leave behind that which can no longer regenerate, but is part of what has been, but was the foundation of all that is to be.
