Went out to the shop today and was going to rip a small board in two, make two thin planks out of it. The fence on the band saw would not lock. Two pieces of hdpe had come un-glued. Went to the local Ace Hardware and got some Locktight plastic glue. Got home and it was as hard as a rock. Guess I go back Tuesday.

Drew, I admire your get up and go on this garden. Me I do things as easy as I can, don't do more than I have to to get a good crop and keep the weeds out of the garden.

Have a good night. Ed

Randy- Working +9 years on a female psychiatric admission unit I saw the domestic (sexual/physical) violence up close and personal.

Sometimes the "aggressed" became the "aggressor"  The legal system in MA is quite supportive of legitimate survivor self defense.

Knowing what I know and doing what I did makes me appreciate all the "stuff" with which you first responders have to deal all the more and in an "open" environment.

And most importantly because sometime the "system" works to some extent; I as an active participant in the "process" remain truly impressed with the "will" inherent in most individuals who despite their all their personal challenges strove to try to do "better" and succeeded despite the odds against them.

It's humbling.

No response from the Battery Saver folks on the email I sent yet, so I called 'em. I guess some businesses still aren't with the Internet thing. Anyway, the 1702 hasn't been made for several years, so any you find out there are used. The current replacement is the 2365-LCD, and according to the guy I spoke with, everything's automatic. It's save to use on any size battery, even down to the tiny 5 AH battery in my dirt bike. And it automatically goes into Monitor/Test mode when you unplug it, and into the Charge/Maintain/Pulse Clean modes when you hook it up to a battery. It also senses whether it's a 12V or 6V battery. It won't even try to charge a 6V battery if it registers less than 2V, or a 12V battery at less than 7V.

Amazon gets $106.45 for one, but J&B Tool Sales sells 'em for $97.32 shipped with no tax, so that's where I ordered mine. I'll let you guys know how it works out. The 6V battery on the Trail 90 hasn't seen a charger for several months, and should be a good candidate for the revive from the dead routine.

I ordered my Battery Saver Saturday night and got it today. Free shipping. Now why do I need prime? I got the 2365-48 and it's hooked up to the golf cart. Ron do you use it instead of your golf cart charger or do you charge your cart with your golf cart charger and then put on the Battery Saver?

I am a gout sufferer and I find very few home remedies work for me.

This information is from research, not a home remedy. I hope you find this helpful, gout looks very painful.
Have you tried a more alkaline diet for three days?

"Treatment Options for Gout
The drug, allopurinol, is commonly prescribed for gout management. Research has also shown the potential to reduce the risk of gout through diet modification, without the use of expensive drug treatments and the risk of their associated side-effects.

Higher consumption of purine-rich plant foods like cauliflower, mushrooms, peas, beans, asparagus, and lentils appear to be protective. Contrary to conventional medical advice, eating purine-rich plant foods (see also plant-based diets) have not been associated with high uric acid levels. Cutting out soda beverages may also reduce the risk of gout.

In general, individuals eating a more alkaline diet要egetarian, in this case謡ere found to flush significantly more uric acid from the body, decreasing the uric acid levels in the blood. In an interventional trial it was found that, in only a few days, participants experienced a 93% decline in the risk of uric acid crystallization.

Due to the ability to dramatically decrease uric acid levels, cilantro may also be useful. Cherries fight inflammation and may lower uric acid levels. They show great potential to treat gout by dropping the number of flares, potentially enabling patients to go off medication. C-reactive protein levels dropped in a study where participants ate about 45 cherries a day for a month, with some anti-inflammatory benefit remaining even a month later.

I eat cherries when I can remember to buy them, they do work, as does some dairy products, Turkey though high in purines actually helps, while beef makes it worse. A glass of red wine or a bison burger is a sure flare up, so I don’t touch either, I love both. Never heard of the alkaline diet but worth a look.

Peanut butter doesn’t faze my gout. The single biggest issue with me dehydration, or lack of proper hydration, that’s why I have way more flares in winter, I don’t get thirsty so I don’t drink enough. Most people with gout could skip the meds and the diet with proper hydration.
