Bacon Grease

I use it to baste almost any meat that we roast in the oven to prevent over drying. It's great on poultry and since I started using it the thanksgiving turkey, it turns out near perfect and leftovers are minimal.

I eat bacon at least 5 days a week. 99 percent of the time I cook it on a mat of paper towels in the microwave. Every now and then I will cook a whole pound on the griddle but even then I don't save the grease. It tastes better to me when cooked on the griddle but the wife thinks it's too greasy.

Perfect for making fried potatoes and onions, hash browns, eggs, fried cucumbers, fried green tomatoes, makes AWESOME popcorn.

It makes a very good bait for trapping coon, skunks, even mice. Smeared on a marshmallow makes a fantastic bait that coons see AND smell. mixed 50/50 with peanut butter, it draws in mice like crazy. I call it "mouse crack".

We used to rub it on the bases of our practical-joke-deserving friends. Acted like a brake. Not sure how this effect was discovered, maybe by an experimenting racer trying to find an edge.
