Kubota L3130
Hi All,
I have an L3130 and am considering adding a BH92. I went to the dealer to look at a new L tractor with the BH, and noticed how large the "ears" are on the subframe. I asked if there was any interference with the 3 point hitch (obviously once the BH was removed, and the 3 PH installed) , and he said there were no issues he was aware of. I did an internet search, and only found a few posts where people described this as an issue, specifically bent 3 PH telescoping arms from hitting the BH subframe, and others said the subframe prevented use of the ability to raise/lower the crank which controls the one link you use to tilt an
implement. Can those of you who have the BH 92 tell me if there are any issues? Just want to know what I may face before I decide to buy it or not. Since 95% of my use will still be loader and/or 3 PH, I do not want to have to worry about taking care not to bend anything.

Thanks a lot in advance, much appreciated.
Rich

You take the arms off when you install the backhoe

I think he means when the backhoe is off and the subframe that it connects to is left on and the 3pt arms are on, does the backhoe subframe that is left on interfere with the 3pt arms or operation?

I have the BH77 on a L3400. The arms do hit the sub frame, depending on what is hooked up some are a little wider and will hit harder. I have to make sure after hooking up that the implement is centered. There is no offsetting a blade or the tiller. All my equipment is older and I dont think cat 1 was a standard width as some stuff works fine. The boss that is welded where the top BH pins go have the corner mashed back a little and the little loop to store the linch pin in got wiped out the first time up. The arms themselves dont hit but the rod they are hooked to that raises them does. See if the dealer will take the hoe off and put three point arms on, run it up and check clearance at the width it would be at if your equipment were on it. Then you and the dealer will know.

I have the BH92 and have no problem with CAT II implements. I don't own any strictly CAT I but on implements with both I and II, I have to use the II position. One time I bent a stabilizer arm when it caught on subframe ear. Since then I've been more careful setting centering and no problems.

Re-reading OP, yes you do need to take more care when you have subframe, but not unreasonable if CAT II.
