1964 Mack B30 Dump Truck

I have been looking for a dump truck to deliver firewood and as a site truck for my property. I do not want a new one due to all the emissions and electronic nonsense. I am mechanically inclined but know nothing about Macks. Any insight on this truck?

All I can say is the 2 speed rear ends work good for me, and the engines in the old Macks like that will not hold up to constant lugging.

Yep different engine design. It's an 8 cyl Gas engine and not a diesel.

Looks like a nice old truck. I can't believe some collector didn't grab that up.

I missed out on the Mack but found this.
1966 Chevy c6 dump truck - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale

Truck is all original no rot or filler on the metal. 5 speed with 5.4l no power steering, drum brakes, mechanical clutch. Seems in great shape .A mechanic owns it and stated that the two front tires have some dry rot but are tubed and hold air otherwise needs nothing.
What do you know about this model truck? Thnaks

Sounds like a good buy. It would be easy to get parts for and maintain. For what you need it to do, I would prefer that over the Mack, myself.
