Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #70,901
It was 15* when I looked. It started snowing at 3:30 yesterday afternoon and snowed all night. I don't think we got as much as they said we would get. It looks like 10-12 inches. I'll see for sure when I go out to clean it up. Snow showers tell noon and a high in the low 20's for today.

I was surprised this morning. Even with this much snow they usually close interstate 80 at what they call the sisters. It looks like it was open all night. The sisters are three long hills just east of Evanston Wy. The trucks have a hard time if they don't have chains on.

I'll go out later and move the snow around.

Hope everyone gets a good start on the week.
CWB.

Good morning all! Made it back later than I thought we would, but a nice day trip. Had a nice dinner w/ son, DIL, and G-daughter. She wanted to come back with use to 'visit', started crying when we were leaving. Promised her we'll be back this summer and she could stay in the trailer and 'camp' w/us. All better!:) Knee got a little stiff, but didn't get too painful, little achy. This morning, the pain is back with a vengeance! Probably need to keep it moving, too stationary while driving yesterday. Seems to 'get better' when I stay off of it, but then worse when I bear weight...

We beat the weather moving in today. Went down to 38 last night, that will be the high for tomorrow. Rain this afternoon, turning to snow tonight. High wind warning issued for this afternoon / tonight: 30 mph gusts to 60mph. Better get everything tied down! Even w/ the wind, still calling for up to 8" snow. I don't think they know, forecast has changed 2-3 times since yesterday. Another possibility of a storm Thursday. Wanted to start a project this week.... 1) injure my knee, 2) bad weather conditions now, 3) more weather later in the week. ..... Somebody telling me not to start the project just yet? Hmmmm.

Ron: Hope your shoulder is ok and just bruise.

Ed: hang in there, nothing worse than hacking and hacking and not being able to break up the congestion.

Drew: you're just a glutton for punishment! More potatoes? Looking forward to seeing the results of your experiment. We say we want to plant potatoes every year, but never did.

Toppop: hang in there, keep busy. I can't imagine how difficult it has been. Keep your head up, take it day by day!

Jay: welcome home and back to the 'normal routine '. I always felt wore out after returning from vacation. Can't figure that out.. Supposed to be 'relaxing' on vacation...

To all needing prayers.. Went out this morning ..special delivery!

LS- Is there ever a "normal routine? I think you better pay attention to those "signs" from "Somebody." You do not want to make "Somebody" mad enough to stop you. Take care.

Ron- It reads like you need a few more days of "light activity." My wife introduced me to Salonpas Lidocaine Plus Pain Relieving Liquid. It is 4% lidocaine. She gets it in a rollin type applicator. It really works and does not raise the BP like some other types of pain receiving creams, etc.

Ed- I hope that you are feeling better and Mom is doing OK.

Bird- I hope that this neurostimulation unit implant works and that your wife is able to live a more pain-free life.

Randy- I do not know how I would deal with the loss of my wife. Hang in there and as LS suggested keep active. It's a day by day healing/grieving process. You may feel alone, but in reality you are not. A lot of people care about you; probably more than you believe.

It's a sunny day with upper and middle level clouds. The upper level clouds are starting to deck. That 4.75" of snow fell on a decent ice pack that Ron would "appreciate." Hopefully the sun, warming, and pending rain will melt stuff. I did not plow the driveway. There's better traction for the vehicles with a snow cover on the surface ice.

We had a "PF" on our convection microwave oven when we got home = The electric company switched our service box to a "provider" box = We are wired into the grid. I saw a few emails from the electric company and the solar company and the energy producing collaborative this AM from last week. The solar panel installation manager is coming by later this AM with the documentation paperwork (another bill?). I believe that I will be able to track my energy consumption/production live.

It's a no go with the Saint Bernards. We got our application submitted after the "cut off." We are in the "2nd Tier" of the applicant pool. There still may be a chance. There's a 4 month St. B. with a breeder in NH. and another breeder in CT is expecting a litter next month. We'll see. Wifey is warming to the idea of 2.

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for all.

I hope that everyone has a decent or at least a manageable day.

64°F and .02 inches rain since midnight.

Might start a bit of mowing today if dry enough.

Prayers to all in need.

In need of a haIrcut personally.

Be safe
Have a great day

Power to the people.

Due to the distance between our house and solar panels w/o another box I can not track my consumption/production of power from our computer. I can track it through the consumption/production of electricity through the new service box. In the light overcast I was still producing more electricity than consuming.

It "looks like" ;) I may "have to" make a path to the panel array with the tractor to help keep snow buildup covering the panels under control...

So far the showers have been one sprinkle late morning. Looks the rain missed us entirely, yahoo! Delivered my building this morning, it’s bigger than the old one and required bit of tree trimming on the rear entrance to get it through the holly grove.
Strange as it seems having a building back on that spot restores a little normalcy to life.
My whole turmoil started when the old one burnt and things spiraled down from there, now it feels like something positive has happened. One less empty hole in life. Probably makes no sense to anyone but me.
Well had lunch, back to filling and leveling where the garage door ramp goes, I’ll use the cheapie that came with it until I build one. Gotta dig up the power feed, hang a box and all that Jazz. Should keep me occupied for a while.

Was watching a documentary about camels, was not bad. There is a place in Saudi that has a health resort that claims to cure cancer. For forty days you eat nothing and drink camels milk mixed with the urine from a virgin camel. They claim it works and now the university over there is saying it is true. Maybe one day we will be chasing virgin camels around with cups? Wonder what else it would cure?

Hope all are improving and happy. Ed

Took Jays suggestion and did almost nothing today.
Snow is slowly disappearing.
.16” of rain. Sent La Crosse a email. They reset the bad data that had accumulated in APP for my weather station.
