As far as medical issues go, just a bit of advice-- read everywhere you can on your condition, both conventional sources, semi-conventional (e.g. Mercola), even look at alternative medicine, and read all of the latest research (
PubMed Health - National Library of Medicine is a good starting point for searching journal articles). Particularly here, we don't exactly count on doctors for whom English is at best a second language to keep very up to date. If some journal article is behind a paygate, there is a Russian/Ukranian website that makes those articles available. PM me if you need to know and I can dig up the URL.
Our house is down in the bottom of the valley. When I go up on to the ridge where our fields are, I can see the nearby mountains "Vihorlatske vrchy". The largest of which, Vihorlat, is a sleeping (hopefully) volcano. Nearby it is the mountain lake "Morske Oko" which is nice to go see. In the first half of the previous century one of the Biltmore women married the count from there and she was responsible for enlarging the lake and adding some structures around it. I guess with WWII they fled Czechoslovakia and didn't return. And, like all of Europe, there are various ruined castles within easy driving distance. Last week my sons and I visited Tibava Castle, which was never very big, and unfortunately someone destroyed it in the 19th century when there were revolutions in the Austrian empire, but there is a little bit left:

Goldoni's are green and orange. :-D Actually, I think now they are completely orange, and the company is owned by the Arbos group which also makes Foton tractors, but ones from the 1980's are mostly green with orange hoods. Mine is a bit darker green than it should be, because I'm too cheap to special order Rustoleum that would color match.
