Had this tractor a year and it has about 160 hours and has regened at least 3 times. No issues no problem ever it just smelled hotter and did whatever it did while I was using it. Now today my daughter was brush hogging and it started beeping. After it driving her nuts for a while she got me and I hit the manual button. little icon came on the display and away she went. The trouble is the damned thing kept on beeping. Then she drove up and it went into some sort of hi idle around 2000 by itself and the alarm went off. When she proceeded to brush hog it came right back on again and stayed there till she shut it off an hour later.
So what is this? I would have thought that brush hogging was plenty of power to desoot this thing as even light use was for me before. She did say that she was running the tractor around 18o0 rpm . Could it be that this thing just needs the socks run off it to clear the DPF. Of course some input from the manual would have been nice but as usual the book was worse than useless.:confused3:

I think the tractor needs to be left to its own devices once the manual regen has been initiated. Otherwise operator interference causes the process to stop and the alarm comes back on to remind you to manual regen. Not 100% sure on that as the manual for my 1742 is also short on detail regarding the regen process.

My 1736 recently started this beeping so I ran it wide open while I was plowing snow for a couple of hours and IT"S STILL BEEPING! I tried hitting the manual button to no avail. Thinking on letting it sit out in the yard idling for an hour. Thoughts?? All prior regens have been done somewhat undetected with only the light on the dash lit.

For some reason I think I remember someone commenting that for the manual regen to happen you must be stopped, in neutral and the parking brake applied, can anyone else confirm?
