2015 Massey Ferguson 1754
As of Wednesday (Feb. 21'st, 2018) I became the proud owner of the 1754. It's my 1st tractor, it was the 1st time I'd driven a tractor. I was pumped....I still am. Now, the problem, being a Newb tractors, I was alarmed to find there was no owners manual. I spoke to the seller and she hasn't been able to locate it (it was her late husbands tractor). Does anyone know where I can get my Massey fingers on one? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have a great weekend all. (pictures of my new toy soon).

Your local dealer is one source, I think they are available from MF through their website. I don't think the owners manual is too expensive, it's a different story for the service manuals they are very dear. If your new tractor is equipped with a loader there will be a separate owners manual for it.

Congratulations! If you have a cab tractor, did you check the pouch behind the seat for the manual? As Mapper said, a local dealer should have the standard 1700 owner's manual or be able to get you one. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the 1700 series owner's manual covers tractors from 1736 to 1759. I have a MF 1754 Cab HST tractor. If I can be of any help or if you want me to look something up in my manual while you look for one, please send me a PM. Ted

Thanks Onionfmr,
Yea, it is a cab tractor (2015). I saw the pouch you were referring to and it was empty. I did a big clean up on it when I brought it home. Nothing makes me fall in love with something like detailing it (her). I will check with the dealer but I did buy my MF privately. At this point, I don't know oil choices, grease recommendations. ****.....I don't know how the thing even works, apart from the stereo, starting it, putting it in gear, and the emergency brake, Like I said, 1st tractor. I'll check with the dealer and consider purchasing the repair manual as well. I have to replace the battery. Surprised that it's bad as it's only 3 years old. I'm not sure if this was the battery since new. It's a Delkor Calcium dk 62321. The tractor came with a rear snowblower, front loader and a box blade. I haven't picked up the box blade or the snowblower yet.

mapper,
It does have a loader and there isn't a manual for that either. Trial by error I suppose and the expertise from this forum.

My MF 1754 came with a Delkor battery. How many hours on your new to you tractor? Depending on hours/use of the tractor, whether it was on a battery tender and/or how long it sat on a boat or at the original dealer's lot will determine health of your battery. The three Massey compact tractors that I have had, have not had the strongest battery when they were originally delivered from the dealer. I've always installed higher CCA batteries after a year or two and all was well. IMHO, from my experience, Delkor is not the best battery choice for a compact tractor.

The oil is 10w-30 cj-4 rated for diesel motors in cold weather or 15w-40 cj-4 rated diesel for warmer weather.

That battery should last much longer than three years. I've seen them 10 years old and working a top. Those delkor batteries are awesome. Should be an indicator bubble on top- green is "good", black should be "charge" and white should be "replace."
