Test drove a Forester 2.0i today. Nice vehicle. Course to get tinted windows I need the premium package, about $2300 more. It also has power seat, moonroof, heated seats.

We’d ask Drew to do it but, it would be 47 pages long.

LOL

I would have been the tribe's storyteller in the very old days...

The newer name brand ressure cookers like InstaPot, have many safety features not available in the old exploding pots.

well that's no fun!
Let them run out of water and burn them real good, what a smell that made.
Nothing like a little bleve on top of the stove to get dinner moving right along
My mother overcooked more stuff in that pressure cooker, the name Mirro somehow comes back to me.
That little chrome steel weight that rocked back and forth going sssssss sssssssss sssssss
And the gasket, you always had to fool with the fat grey gasket to make sure it was in the right place or
you'd blow up the kitchen you know.

ok, less prattle, keep it short.

Farmer, thank you. $300 shed at risk, unit hangs from a screw on a stud, understand it could become a flaming ball of burning plastic
with a big surge. Flaming plastic then drips down onto top of 12VDC battery where two cells blew out in the surge too. Flaming battery now.
Now we're talking some real fun.
Bottom line is please hit my shed and not my house. Take a big one for the home team.

But, you could proofread and help Randy with the “big words”.

You're a good sport Drew.

Got the battery finally for the 5420...Upon taking the old one out, I realized I had a rusty mess on the battery floor plate. Used my right angle 18v drill and a cupped brass bristle wheel to clean it up. Sprayed it down with rustoleum rusty metal primer. Put the new Exide battery in and waa lah. Started right up. One job done.

Barbequed some pork chops for the family to chew on.

Also started to work on the SUV serpentine belt system. Have a squeak, believe it to maybe be a pulley. I just want to replace the bearing in it, not buy the whole thing because I'm cheep. No one in town has the little 6001 DU or 6001-2RS bearing....Arrgh. Will have to pick one up in the bigger city on Monday to finish the job.

In the mean time, I put some sand in the clay areas of the garden. I let my 12 year old daughter use the 6 hp front tine tiller after some lessons. I watched her while I worked on the tractor. We ended up tilling pretty much the whole garden by hand except for previously planted stuff.

Currently planted:
Carrots- transplanted and doing poorly. Will probably replant some seed or cucumbers in their spot.
Onion sets, about 100 onions - doing great
strawberries- so far 6 out of 10 root sets have green leaves coming up.
Today's planting:
Potatoes - red potatoes (I just planted 15 whole potatoes since Drew talked me into it.)
Garlic- 1st time to try and plant some cloves that had green sprouts coming out. I put them in a corner all to themselves.
Tomatoes- Romas, planted some seeds.

Still have about half the garden to plant. I want to plant some jelly/grape or cherry tomatoes.

Sounds like you've got all the bases covered, Randy, with tools you like and know how to use. No crime in that.

Over the years I've come to realize I like eating a lot more than cooking and cleaning up. So if I can prepare a meal using just one pot, that saves me a lot of time and energy. Even better that it's a BIG pot and there are lots of leftovers, the preparation and serving of which take almost no time. So when things like microwave ovens, convection ovens, and the Instant Pot come along, I try 'em out. If they work as advertised, as those three do, I get real excited because keeping myself fed gets a real boost in efficiency and I can waste the time saved working on or riding motorcycles or watching satellite TV. That's pretty much the same philosophy that drove the Roomba purchase, and when iRobot comes up with one that can dust, change the bed, and do laundry, I'll be all over it.

I知 seriously thinking about a Roomba or similar. My cleaning ladies come every two weeks and do a great job, but I spend a good bit of time sweeping the laminate floors that cover a good part of the house. How well do they transition between surfaces and rooms?

I’ve been in love with heated seats for twenty years.
