22 degrees right now....high in the low 40's today.

Boy, the predictions for the snow coming in Wednesday/Thursday are all over the place. Initially, it was 5-8 inches...then 6-10...then 4-7...now it's 8 to 12. I reckon Thursday might be a "work from home" day.

Coming here tonight into tomorrow. Dont think our prediction is much, but they are spraying roads already. Few flurries this morning.

36°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 48°. Chance for some more rain and possibly some snow this evening. The rain was coming down in giant drops on the drive home from work yesterday. Seemed like my car was being pelted with water balloons at one point.

I've never liked peas. I'll eat them if they're mixed into something like shepherd's pie or fried rice, but even them I'm likely mumbling about it. Just never liked them.

23 and going to a high of 32. Wind ENE 6 mph. 60% chance of flurries.

There is a storm about 60 by 40 miles that was in Manitoba yesterday. (I saw it on the Woodlands, MB radar.) I was talking to a buddy from Winnipeg yesterday and he told me that there was a bad storm at home. We will see how much water it picks up when it crosses Lake Superior. It could be a dandy or it could miss me altogether. Either way, I am ready for it.

The same young fella age (21) hauling a load of acid about 10,000 gallons goes into the Husky at Bradford to shower and eat. By the time he gets 3 hours north to where I am going to meet him he has huge stomach cramps. We got into the restaurant where we are going to have coffee and after he came out of the can (bathroom) he told me about the food. NOT GOOD! A word to the wise, if anybody coming to Ontario eats at the Husky outside Bradford, Ontario on Hwy 88 at Hwy 400, you are taking your comfort and well being into your own hands.

Looks like 3* was the low this morning, yesterday wasn't to bad. The high was in the mid 30's and the wind 10-15 mph. There isn't a cloud in the sky this morning. It's going to be sunny with a high in the upper 30's and a 5-10 mph wind.

I did get the snow drifts moved yesterday. It took longer then I thought it would. I have a few little things I would like to get done today.

Good morning everyone. A beautiful sunny late winter day here. A great day to prepare for tomorrow's storm and "episodically" stare blankly at the computer monitor looking at weather information. This area is in one of the modeled "sweet spot" if one likes snow. 19" predicted for this area in MA by the NWS graphic which has been pretty accurate to date. Phil is in an even sweeter spot at 20" predicted. And this storm will help set up the next modeled coastal storm ~March 12th - 14th. We'll see.

I like peas any type, fresh or dried. I used to like them mushy until I tried eating the "pre-chewed", "altered/modified diet" foods they served nursing home residents with swallowing challenges. Nasty stuff. I could see and taste why they were losing weight .

Car shopping is done = Wifey bought a Subaru Forester Limited edition with a couple of options = The touring package w/o the heated steering wheel. I am glad this is over with. Now all I have to do is try to understand the 1 hour tutorial at the dealership on Friday on how to operate all the electronic whizzbang gizmos. The "key" is fancier than my flip phone that I can barely operate. 0 money down and 0% financing is hard to argue with.

Despite the rain, I had to go out and set up and try this out. Should work for my kids, the oldest two anyway, to split the nice straight pieces of wood. Last week my wife got a splitting axe with a two foot handle and two pound head when she was getting a replacement handle at the hardware store for the other axe. It seemed to her the right size for our six year old who was in the store with her. He can just lift it, but can't really split anything. I searched these forums for what size axe to get for kids, and saw a mention of the "smart splitter", which I'd seen before but was terribly expensive. Started poking around for dimensions, figured I could make one, but just for laughs checked the price in the eshops here.

Turns out that since Logosol started marketing it in different colors that the old green one had gone on sale for 19€. I would have a hard time buying the materials to make one for much less.

I need a new splitting block to put it on that isn't slanted, but otherwise, it seemed workable on dry, straight pieces of wood just dropping the weight down. Thursday the weather should get better, and I'm putting these kids to work!

Canadian guests leave tonight, already talking about return.

Cottage guests got good news on the title report for their land purchase and hope to close soon.
