I did my 50 hour service last summer and the tractor is close to the 100 hour mark. Looking at the owners manual, and it reads the next major check up is the 400 hour mark. How often do you guys change motor oil and hydraulic oil ? 400 hours seems extreme.

At least once per year for engine oil, otherwise 100 hours for oil and filter. After the initial filter cleaning (which should be done regardless), I'm going to wait several years before I change the hydraulic fluid.

They equate 1000 hours to 10,000 hours (roughly) for fire engines- they have both an hour meter and odometer.
Hydraulic fluid is fine to the 400 hour mark- no need to change it sooner.
Some will change engine oil once a year regardless of hours. Oil analysis doesn’t typically support this practice- it would be moisture more than anything with that little time on the oil. But yearly or based on hours is fine.

I personally follow the manual on hydraulic and engine oil. In this day and age fluids last a long time. No need to fret- your tractor will be fine.
I do however, wash it and crawl around on and under it a few times of year to look for anything out of place. A loss bolt or a hose that is rubbing is an easy fix. In that regard an ounce of prevention is still very much worth the effort.

100 hours for the motor oil is what my manual says. Not sure what you mean by "check up".

I also have a Kubota 2380 that I bought new last fall. The book on the 2380 says change motor oil at 50 hours. Dealer told me they generally wait till 100 hours. I have 9 hours on it.

I would do the first engine oil at 50 hours and the hyd and hst filter also

I changed the hydraulic filter and oil on my Workmaster at 50 hours. Didn't call for the oil change but did it anyway. The service manual states 600 hour service intervals. I'll change the oil yearly.

The engine oil is 100 or 200 hour change with oil filter depends on the tractor
