well here's the big question, is a green light blinking once per second considered fast or slow?
If slow, all is well. If fast I am in overcharge. Of course they don't spec....\

is once a second fast?

need to contact mfg; now how hard would it have been to spec a bicolor LED that would go red
on overcharge instead of flashing faster?

Good morning everyone.

A mostly sunny mid 20F's day with sustained winds ~15mph gusting to +25mph. A decent day to dig out the woodpile and deal with firewood "just in case." No Spring here; Winter has returned. Tonight will be in the single digits. Typical NE weather. The "dump" personnel say "snow" for midweek. They "know" weather.

Thomas- Is your sugaring season as crazy up there as it appears to be down here in western MA?

Kyle- Thanks for sharing about your boy. Your post brought a smile here. Some kids are still raised correctly. You and your wife are doing "something right." Your son deserves to catch a BIG fish. Good luck fishing.

The only Spring here are the local colleges' open house greenhouse visits. Neither of us were "impressed" with last night's barbecue. No "burnt ends." There is still no decent barbecue joint w/i an hours drive.

Posting about Spring makes me think about Randy;;) Good luck. Randy.

Ed- I hope the women in your life are doing better.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day for those who celebrate.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.

I hope that everyone has a decent day.

they only stalled the ditchwitch once on a big root, nothing like the right machine going through sandy soil to make it all
look nice. And very unrealistic from my experience...
Water pipe is in, I had three feet extra! How's that for cutting it close with a solid 100 footer.

Men are off to Lowes for extra gate valves and whatever else they need to hook this up.
I built a wooden base this morning for the pump, did my easy part but boy was it cold out this morning.
Within three minutes they had found the hidden water line, these guys are smart, no detectors either, and made sure they didn't chop that up
heading through, so a nice easy job with no excitement.

The issue was....with a 1.5hp pump sucking/pumping from the street main, which is 1.25 pipe, could it also suck water out of my household system?
Loud sucking noises in the toilets as the water is sucked out. Unlikely but....Can think of one houseguest I would have liked to suck out that way....:D
So I posed my concerns to the plumber and he understood my point and said he would handle it. Ok. We are also putting in a drain outside to drain the sprinkler pump from outside, not inside so
I/someone doesn't have to crawl halfway down a long house to turn a valve to winterize. Then my job was to get out of there way and just let them do it.
At least three years experience with these guys, but I can only get them after hours.
About half the cost of a plumber at my old home. Their instinct is multiple hundreds instead of multiple thousands...
Guy says his boss's plumbing company has been almost six days a week for two years. New construction too.

back to work. No water in the house, got hands soaped up then nothing. Worth a laugh.

I have to get going this morning but will go into the food later. One quick question - is your low carb plant based?

Good morning! A warm 69˚ one more cool front heading this way next week.
A raccoon got into Moms garage and flooded it. Life in the country got to love it.
Now dont kill that racoon.
You had to see another thread, now closed, to get that one.

My moms side is from N Ireland. I put on a green shirt today not even realizing the day. Guess it was an instinct. I dont celebrate it.

Was sunny, now clouding up. 30°.
Woke up with sore neck, my wife put her massage apparatus on me. Feels pretty good, looks weird. She got it at costco.

Kyle, happy birthday to your son. They grow up so quick.

Wife making a big pot of soup to take to someone later today who just got out of hospital.

Need to bring more pellets from barn. Maybe a costco run. Need to get tires balanced on the newer pilot. Its ok until 65mph, gets rough over 70mph. But need to be there at 7 when they open. Im sure they are now booked for the day.

You all in Texas are way ahead of us in terms of grass trees blooming etc. my forsythia are blooming that and crocuses nothing else. Need to get leaves out from under porch and limping duty from house to Road about 1300 feet, but there is a big gun show in town hmmm.....

We致e had daffodils, crocuses and forsythia since February, but it was warmer then than now.

Ron thanks for the video, cute. My grandfather back in the 50's was driving a Farmall A and when he got to the end of the field he started yelling WHOA. Ran out of the field and down into the creek. No real damage done except for his pride. :)

Have a great day. Ed

A many an old mule driver tried to whoa his first tractor! :D

Good morning to all! Down at 33 this morning, going up to about 64, but windy tonight, dropping to a high of only 48 tomorrow. Wish it would rain, still way to dry and still below avg. precip. Even the ski areas are only 25-40% of their average snowfall totals. Gonna be a bad fire season.

Has been a real struggle going back to work, even if on "light duty". The knee really acted up and began to intermittently lock up in a bent position. Seems to be progressively worsening. Finally have an appointment made with an ortho specialist on Monday. Apparently occ med never sent referral to the work comp adjuster, so no "authorization" was made.... Think it all BS, have been cc'd on their emails and they both point the finger at each other....what is so hard about this? Well just have to wait until Monday, it was 4 weeks yesterday, what's another couple days?

Anyway, back to the norm... Have to take the wifey to make a grocery run, then make a nice dinner. Not doing much of anything else.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREW! (belated) hope you enjoyed the day. Also hope you figure out the controller issues. By the way, there are other ways to add some excitement rather than touching the fence!:D ....shocking

Kyle: enjoy your son's special day with him, catch a bunch. You have a good one there!

Randy: Glad to hear you are enjoying your new exciting relationships (another car to work on, a new shed, and TWO new ladies....your making us all jealous) :D

Don: great results so far w/ the diet...keep us posted. Need more details / specifics about the meals.

Ed: Hope you find a suitable/good Doc.. Seems really hard to do these days. What has happened to the true "caring" Docs who had the profession because they wanted to "help", not just get a big paycheck to pay their student loans... Be your own patient advocate, and your Moms, stand your ground for what is right.

Ron: Be glad you didn't make it to Costco... think of all the money you saved! :dance1:

Eric: those pics of the lamb were awesome..."so cute" as the wifey put it. Do you normally keep the newborn lambs inside for a while?

Bird: you sure have a lot of work lined up for today! Take it easy...not to much..

RNG: I feel for you man! The Internet issues are not fun...been there done... Same kind of issues that went on for about 15 years. Finally got DSL in the area about 5 years ago, a few intermittent glitches every now and then, ussually when it does rain here. We're moving up in the civilization scale in our area: got city water supply about 4 years ago, then nat gas about 2 years ago... WOO HOO!
Glad to hear you have progressed at least a little on the projects. I want to hear / see the bike starting up!:cool2:

Ron: cute video..awesome

Fredomlives: I must have missed a post... Did you get a new tractor? Pics?

Jay: you made us laugh about "becoming lazy" and not "keeping up appearances". It's like you were peeking into my days off ...just sayin..:D:laughing:

For everyone out there...prayers sent.
Have a great day..stay safe..have fun.

Up to 47 from a low of 21 this morning. A little wind still. I gotta run some errands and get ready to go to dinner later. And grandson’s basketball game.

When I get home I might have to hunt up a couple of popsicle sticks and the duct tape if Ellen decides to stay tonight!

LS- "Light Duty" is not that "light" in reality. It's amazing how quickly one loses their "endurance." This doctor referral process during the workman's comp evaluation period and need for prior approval horse poo make me crazy. You have physical proof of your MCL injury and still you have to deal with the BS. Nothing wrong with "not keeping up appearances" during light duty. You could make a case for emotional/psychological trauma related to your disability and the "rehabilitation" process. ;)

From the NWS/Taunton,MA discussion this AM: "Southern jet
stream remains in place most of the period with one shortwave moving
east to the Mid Atlantic coast Tuesday and a second digging in over
the Midwest Wednesday. This sets up a complicated flow to our south
that generates multiple weather systems. These could easily pass to
our south, or one of them may turn north and bring pcpn to Southern
New England."

Randy- Good luck. You'll figure out "something.";)
