Had the wife on the Bad Boy............ That didn't sound right, let me start again.

Had the wife on the Zero Turn Bad Boy mower while I was blowing leaves. The sixteen year old Echo has been a reliable easy starting machine since I got it. But yesterday it just wouldn't do the job. It started easy enough but smoked like crazy. The only way I could build enough rpms to get anything done was to block the nozzle by pressing it into the ground, let the rpms build, then blow for maybe five seconds. Changed gas, no luck. Got ticked off and went to the Stihl store and got me a new blower. This one blows harder, is lighter, and has an easy start system that my wife can pull. A win all around.

I may take the Echo and see if the dealer can fix it cheap. Or I may just junk it. Sixteen years is a long time for a two stroke engine even if my Stihl trimmer started the second pull this spring.

Man...!!!! You can see leaves...????? We still have over a foot of hard packed glacial like snow. :) I bought a big Husqvarna backpack blower, at the time was about the most powerful blower [ Redmax clone ]. You walk around with it for a half hour or so and it improves your posture. When you take it off you can hardly touch the ground with your toes for a few minutes. So powerful it can blow your head clean off... the 44mag of blowers.

So are you saying if I go to the Stihl store I can find one that blows harder, is lighter, has an easy start AND the wife likes it!?!?! I’m leafing now!!

Two jokes in one- no extra charge!

We had a work day at the Church today, and I was on the tractor most of it. (in short sleeves for all you in snow).
Some people used hand held blowers to blow the parking lot off, which reminded me that when i had to blow leaves, I used a Steiner blower, which put out 200 mile per hour wind coming out a 4x4 opening. It would blow all the way across the parking lot in one pass, really liked it!

My wife SERIOUSLY likes her Stihl BR 600 Magnum blower. Very easy starting, immense power.

I would be MORE than happy getting 16 years of use out of the echo..

If you point it straight down and rev it up, it will lift you right off the ground...... Does not really lift you up, just pushes the Earth down.
sounds like a Honda rev'n up.... The ' Chuck Norris ' of blowers..... :)
