Cavitation & air destroys pumps. Get the static level of the oil above the inlet of the pump for better life.

It is really not a difficult fabrication job but the thinking must be well done and Dave has done much of it already.

In your drawing, there is 2x4 tubing used, which can work well, but you really have
to weld both sides of it to make a good structural connection. Failure to do so resulted
in a major headache for Kioti with their FELs last decade. That is why I prefer
channel with 1/4" thick (min.) webs.

See, I didn't mention that you were and EE and not SE. I'm kind. You should be an SE though, that's what's really in your heart. Tom
