Question for those with Telescopic Stabilizers

/ Question for those with Telescopic Stabilizers #11
The telescopic stabilizers on our current tractor and the one before it did not have a cotter pin on the bottom of the drop-in pin. Never have had one come out accidentally.

1300 hours on my current tractor. I've lost one in all that time. My pins are just bolts. I welded a light chain to the head of the bolt, and the other end is attached to the bolt that holds the stabilizer to the lower 3 pt hitch arm. Of course, none have ever popped out since then, but the chain has saved me a hunt in the leaves on the ground a couple of times when I dropped the bolt while making a change.

Well, I guess I’m just piling on, but plenty of bouncy work and never had one jump out.

I've never lost one, and I don't use the cotter pins. Like the OP mentioned, they are a pain to put in once the implement is on.

I have never lost one either. Sometimes a hairpin will hook a branch when logging and pull out but never have had a problem with anything on my TPH.

I have lost one also.

/ Question for those with Telescopic Stabilizers #18
My pins have a spring loaded ball bearing in the bottom of them. Just pop it down through the hole and the ball bearing keeps them from popping out.

My stabilizers came from stabilworks.

No. Been using them on my 6530 since buying it new and chucked the cotter pin clip hootuses the first few times of usage. Don't need them and the pin is on a chain anyway so it isn't going to get lost even WHEN you forget to pin one side.
