The 'Everything attachments' model was quoted but to remember their products don't have to meet any EPA or OSHA requirements.

A tractor has a ton of safety and environmental* obstacles to overcome, seat safety switches, seat belts, PTO protection, lights, roll over protection, Tier 4 standards, etc.
B4 you pass all the hurdles you probably will wish that you would have bought the rights to produce the 8N or Massy 35 with modern updates.

*and then add California who always differ.

Good luck, I admire your courage and ambition.

I just wouldn't sell them in California. How anyone can even afford living there is beyond me.

There is no point making a new MF35 or license something very old designs. MF does still produce the 35 so if there was a huge demand for it they would sell it with some upgrades.

A smaller version of a Valtra X would be something, of course with dual command.

This must be a joke thread leftover from April fools day.

Nobody and I mean nobody will support electronics or plastic parts on your machine 100 years from now. The days of thinking you can build a machine to last that long are ludicrous.
Take a look at car manufacturing, nothing is supported more than 10 years any longer.

Your machine would have to be EASILY upgraded by utilizing standardized power units and transmissions that wouldn't be built by your company.

LARGE roof area for solar panels

Large storage area for extension cords after the internal combustion engine is outlawed

Lots of battery storage for electric motor.

Once you figure it out the Chinese will steal your technology and charge 1/3 your price to the public.

Best of luck, Fred

You could open source hardware and electronics.

Exactly correct!
If you build a better mousetrap, and it does not comply with California standards, don't market your mousetrap in California.
Those of us in the other 49 states (are there really 50 states, or 57 states?) will be very happy to buy that better mousetrap.

There has been a lot of discussion, I hope the OP comes back?

There has been an incredible WEALTH of valuable insight contributed by TBN'ers in this thread.

However the cynic in me believes this is a financially improbable pipe dream.

Perhaps the OP knows this also and is actually a highly paid consultant commissioned by a major tractor manufacturer for marketing insight.

OR he is gathering material for a book or thesis.

Nothing wrong with that....I wish him the best.

Just two cents, but look at tractors with a "cult" following. I have a JD 318, love it. Easy to work on, tons of attachments and it came in the gas or diesel version. Able to do just about anything. If it was beefed up a bit and able to put a backhoe on it wow what a work horse. I am not mechanical, but everything on the 318 is do-able for me. I even ran an electronic fuel pump to it to make starting easier.
