Finally caught up with you guys. Interesting stuff. I worked on my mighty craftsman a 25 hp model, about s 1996 vintage. I took it out banging out a path thru the woods last week, making a walking path for the dogs and us. Worked good, but now I am leaking 2 types of oil, motor oil, and transmission oil. Not good, I was given this thing for moving out of a shed, I put about 500 into it, mostly in parts. May have over taxed the old girl..... I'll see more tomorrow, I might be buying a new mower. I keep one at my wife's shop, and one at home, plus a walk behind at each, and string trimmers. I plan on pulling the engine out tomorrow, I should be able to see whats broken then.

Have a good one!

Got up with full tilt bronchitis this morning, went to a walk in and got a bag full of antibiotics, steroids, nose spray and albuterol inhaler. Then went a half dozen places with Ellen. Time to hit the rack.;)

Good morning. It's looking as though nature has finally realised it's mistake of skipping a season here as the summer temperatures we have been enjoying for the last few days have dropped back to something more typical of spring time. It has been almost like living Texas - except no berries - or snakes :)

I've gone and broken a mirror on my Iskeki. After years of managing to negotiate some tight spaces without a scratch, I craked it in a wide open field while adjusting to get a better view of the harrow. The multi-faceted rear view it now gives is quite good, though probably illegal for road use, so I better see about a replacement today.

Good morning all, 46 this morning going to 63 and a 60% chance of rain this evening, 90% tonight. Hope to get the truck loaded with a little more for the dump and then unloaded. Then hope to get the snow blower out to the shed and out of the garage. Hope to soon get the LA 145 in the garage and get the valves adjusted. Wife says that if I can get it sold I can use the money on a mini mill :) to go with the old craftsman / Atlas 6x18 metal lathe that I got for $50 on Craig's list.

Have a great day, prayers sent to those in need. Ed

Kyle, Dick Raymond, in his book, The Joy of Gardening, talks about getting rid of perennial weeds in a garden. He worked it up and that day planted it in buck wheat. 30 days later he tilled it in with his troy built and planted buck wheat. He repeated that all summer and just wore the weeds out. Plant the buck wheat thick and it will build your soil as well.

The Joy of Gardening is my favorite gardening book ever. It is not a cute book on gardening it is a thinkers way of gardening and it works. Ed

Bronchitis is some better this morning but wheezing like heck still, but breaking loose some.

I think I slept too close to a crack last week!
Since I wasn’t breathing well, I got up put clothes into wash, made the bed, no need laying there coughing and wheezing.

41 and calm, heading to mid 60’s, no more frost for the next couple of weeks. I guess I can finally plant flowers 3 weeks late. Need to mow grass here and probably need to go mow Ellen’s, not sure her son has that in his plans when he visits mom.
See how my energy level is.

Prayers for the needy, and all my TBN friends.
