Pto switch engage with switch, light comes on but no rotation on my 2001 4310.

So I have begun my troubleshooting of my problem and I have quite a few steps left to go. During my search though I found a wire with connector that is unhooked, however I can not find where it may go. Hoping for some help. IMG_4774.JPGIMG_4773.JPG

So far trouble shooting wise:
Full flush of oil and filters
Checked wiring connections (found the one above loose wire)

Yet to do:
Volt meter on switch and selenoids, as instructed by other thread.
Check pto pressure test port not sure where this is exactly yet.
Pull back panel off and pto out and check for ported bushing alignment. Possible shift as suggested in other threads.

I sent you a message

Also remember Deere’s main harnesses have many plugs that are there for optional add on and may not be used on your model

On my 4410 I use that wire for an auxiliary power outlet. It's keyed power on.

I thought the first year for 4310 was 2002?

4310 uses a electric hydraulic valve to operate the pto. The switch sends power to a solenoid on the RHS tunnel just in front of the tire. It's a 2 function solenoid. PTO and 4x4. There is a 2 wite harness to each solenoid. When I just bought my 4210 the 4x4 connector had the wires pulled out of the connector and didn't work. I would start there. Not sure if there is a relay or fuse in line as well. Manual would show that.

Update:

Switch failed the tests so got a new one ordered

Selenoid passed with the multimeter but dont know for sure thats the problem yet.

Tested the pressure and had no flow with switch engagment but again switch is bad.

Should be able to jump the switch to test. Will stall if you are not in the seat.

Update again:

I have continuity between the correct terminals in the off position.

However:
In the ON position continuity is between C and B and F and E,
As apposed to A and B and D and E.

I thought the switch was bad at first, but realize now that both the old and the new switch are in this configuration.

Are you somehow holding it backwards or looking at it wrong? What pins do the wires go to?

Ill have to look when i get home.

Thought that too.. but tried it again matching the picture and its the same result.. regardless though, considering the new and old switch test the same, assuming that its not the problem.

Next would be solenoid assume..considering there is not hyd fluid coming from the test port upon engagement of the switch. I would think that shows solenoid failure..

Still worried its the ported bushing internally though.
