New Kubota ZD 1511-72

Thanks Brett. Only other thing I’m unhappy with is that you can’t fold ROPS completely down like I could with my John Deere. We have lots of low tree branches.

I may have to just remove it.

Put a canopy on it and get to trimming the trees up before it gets to hot! As much mowing as you have I’d want to get out of the sun as much as possible. If they made these with a cab I would’ve bought one of those.

Canopies don’t work well here Brett.

I'm not a canopy fan either & I keep my tree limbs trimmed 20+ feet high for tractor work lol

I keep my ROPS folded back at the 45 degree setting so the hood will open.

You Rear Discharge Deck owners : Keep an eye on your temp gauge after 3-6hrs in DRY conditions or you'll get the alarm horn warning you that your coolant is boiling.

A Quick radiator screen dump & rake all the clippings out from radiator area & your back mowing .

The OEM blades that come on them are high lift blades.
Slower ground speed cuts clippings up finer.
The RD blades have a bigger center hole than the SD blades.

Oh ok. So it's just the RD decks that have a bigger center hole. So maybe then the blades from my 331 would fit it is that what your saying. They have a much higher lift than the new ones

Hmmm, wonder if that is unique to rear discharge. My 1511-72 side discharge collects almost no debris. When I do check the radiator screen there is just a very small amount at the bottom of screen. That's mowing about 6+ acres a week and I'm starting to skip the screen check except when checking coolant and oil levels which is about every 50 hours.

Yup. RD discharges out the back and the intake for the radiator is there. The screen catches it but needs to be cleaned out every so often. Small price to pay to stay clean
