Yes, mow about 6 acres around the house plus along the drive back out to county road. Sophie does most of the plant care. No roses, gardenias are about finished. The yellow and orange are hibiscus.

40 this morning, I’ll be glad to see mornings warmer, 80 later, 90 by Thursday.

Still not sleeping well, but that comes with pneumonia recovery. Follow up with doc tomorrow, hope to get meds back on track, hospital got that screwed up royally.
I’ll try to get a nap later...HAHAHAHA

Sorry, but ain’t no naps happening here.
Mowed yesterday and repaired my flag surround. Did some weeding, I hope to get flowers going today.

Went to grandsons ballgame yesterday, Ellen brought Gracie the bulldog, 65 lbs of children’s delight, they love her and she loves them.

30 and going to a high of 64. Wind SSE 6 mph. Sunny!

The trip to North Bay included 10 stops. We were still back at home before 2 P.M.
Today is only 3 stops in Sundridge.

I got me an appointment for a new exhaust system from the cat back for next Tuesday.

I switched CBD formulas, the new one is 1% THC and 20% CBD. We will see how that works.

No coffee this morning. 47° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 80° lots of sun. Got a 7:00 am doctor appointment. Need to get ready it's a 1/2 hour drive. Did get a picture of the moon this morning. But it did not come out as good as picture posted.

much warmer day today, 51 out now going up to 84. Summer is almost here...
Headed downtown for haircut, then today is day I clean up the garden and get all the planting trays out of there,
and make it look presentable. Snow peas need picking today, can't wait for a big plate of those for dinner.
I used a watering can and hand watered everything yesterday with a light Miracle Grow solution. Now it's survival
of the fittest.

Wonderful tshirt David, I sent a copy to my oldest closest friend who snores loud enough for me to hear him in their guest room when I visit.
He's been like that all his life...can't imagine how his wife tunes that out.

7200 linear feet of corn to hoe. Think I'm about a third of the way through it.
For once I'm really trying to pace myself.
All this while my neighbor's farmer killed all their weeds with Roundup and is planting Roundup Ready something.
No weeds to hoe for him. Hmmmmm

at least once this is done I can now see the corn and can cultivate with the Super A.
All that nice fertilizer I put down sure does make the weeds go nuts. Worst part was an invasion
of nutsedge grass over one big area. Had to get down on my hands and knees and crawl along finding the corn in it,
hand weed the corn, then hoe everything else. And when I was done, some corn. No nice long perfect rows, more Charley Brown rows.
Will make it taste all the sweeter assuming it grows.


Hope Farmer is doing ok, probably busy as can be "at work".
At least his commute is better than Roy's.
Roy and I are the same age, not sure I could make those drives.
New Englanders are tough.

Ron, you have my sympathy. I hate those doctor/hospital visits where I'm not supposed to eat or drink anything. I've got to take my wife to a doctor's appointment at 12:30 p.m. and it'll take at least 2 hours, probably 3 to 4 hours. But at least she doesn't have dietary restrictions this time.

...and beautiful flowers, all. I got my first delight of the fragrance of the Sweet Betsy bush blooming while I was mowing late yesterday. I look forward to it every year...one of my very favorites. Iris are blooming here...apples are about done, but lilacs are still going strong.

Went out to bush hog two food plots yesterday, and ended up spending 4 hours as I kept finding areas that I thought needed a second cut already. Red tail hawk and tree swallows kept flying by looking for treats.

Have had some interesting birds at the feeders this week...don't see them except during migration, like blue grosbeaks, and rose breasted grosbeaks. The phoebe was on the nest yesterday...it has 5 eggs.

For those of you with snoring problems -
SWMBO snores loud enough to wake the dead - She tried several things sprays, nose tapes etc. None worked well. Finally she got a "wedge" pillow. This raises her head AND upper torso enough so it has virtually eliminated her snoring.

51°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 82° today. Upper 80s tomorrow, then storms cool things back to the more normal 70s after that.

The guys rebuilding our retaining walls around the walkout basement showed up yesterday morning and started their destruction of the old railroad tie walls and stairs. They made pretty quick work of it apparently, and got the foundation down for the new stone walls. Materials for that are supposed to arrive this morning. RR tie stairs will be replaced with slate slabs. Wife said the guys were impressed with the stoutness of the old walls, which her grandfather built by himself in 1970.



Some of the old ties will be repurposed to support a new berm for the shooting range back by the barn.

Cooler this morning 24*, we had snow showers most of yesterday but it all melted. Today is going to be in the low 50's with partly cloudy skies and light breeze.

LS... I think the wind here has been bad all winter long, 15- ?, all most every day. Wish I could send you some precipitation but we are short on that too.

Buckeyefarmer... They should have good weather for their trip a cross this part of the state. Are they going to Rexburg ID?. Tell her there are nicer places in Wyo then the drive a cross I-80. She will see a lot of sagebrush and few antelope.

They are heading to rexburg. Left his job, moving there without a job waiting, but he has interviews lined up. He does computer work, so he should find something. O to be young again, I'd probably do the same thing.
I suggested they not go via ogden, but head up towards Jackson, cuts 100 miles off the trip.
They ran into high winds yesterday in Nebraska. Interstate was shut down after they got thru, several accidents.

My oldest stepson did that, too. His girlfriend decided to go to Texas State, so they both just packed up and moved to San Marcos last year. No jobs either, but he had been saving some money and she had some help from her parents. They're doing fine.
