They will ALWAYS "hop" on a hard turn.

That means nothing.

BS! I have 2 4wd tractors and neither hop or even attempt to hop and I can make tight turns with short wheel base and hydro steering.

BS.

Try it on pavement. Put it in 4wd, turn the steering to full lock hand hold it there. Only 2 ways it won't be hopping or binding. Either your driveline is BROKEN, or you're on soft ground and the tires are not getting sufficient traction.

Don't call it "BS" just because you don't understand it.

I agree

I'm not going to waste my time explaining to you how gear boxes, differentials and transfer cases work.

Enjoy your ignorance.

Not sure if I would call it a "hop" (more like steering wheel "bump") doing a lock turn on my 4020 while in 4WD but I can definitly tell it's IN 4WD. If I'm in a tight area (inside the barn for instance) I'll do most of any work I have to do in 2wd, it's just much easier. Now my Dodge PU WILL definitly "hop" making a sharp turn (to lock) while in 4WD even in gravel.

I have had numerous 4wd tractors and trucks over the years, and every single one of them would "hop" on a full lock turn when 4wd is engaged. Perhaps we have different definitions of "hops"? In any case, there are probably more amiable ways of settling differences than immediately calling "BS".
