I said "Randy" was chomping at the bit to get it back in but I'm sure you read that correctly in that "Paul" was chomping at the bit...

Yeah, it is definitely not the tractor my dad would borrow from our neighbor back in the 70s/80s...

cphilip! Just a quick update. Paul called me yesterday as the Kioti rep was in town so they focused some time on my 4010. They are confident the engine is at 100%. They did as test on the fuel I had in it and said it was crap. They hooked it up as is and ran it with a full load and you could hear it "spitting and sputtering". They completely drained the fuel tank, the lines, replaced fuel filter and whatever else they needed to bleed. Put 1/2 a tank of new fuel in it and it sounded perfect. Kioti rep is covering everything, even though as Paul put it, they could have put it on me due to the fuel (same fuel I've always bought so not sure what happened). They are covering the cost of the fuel, Paul's labor, new filter, etc. Couldn't be happier with the service and Kioti's response.

Side note - I had toothbar on my previous tractor but haven't bought one for this one. I ordered the one I had. Saw at Randy's a stack of them so curious if you one and if so did you get it from him? I'll eventually make it by and ask him about them but just thought I'd ask. Thanks for reading and replying! We'll have to grab a coffee or beverage of choice one day!

Super to hear Michael! I hope its that simple and that simple any time! Just kid them with the statement that it probably went bad with all the time its been setting in their shop and see how they react! LOL...

No I do not have a tooth bar. Been debating one. Its just about to climb up to a reasonable spot on my list. Im going to wait until the grapple arrives and see if that serves many of the purposes I would use a bucket with teeth for. I doubt it will completely but it might. Id love to know what he wants for those. I would need one for the stock 60" bucket.

But right now my short list is 1) telescoping lift arms 2) Dual rear remotes 3) a bucket edge protector or teeth. Im not married to that order except that the telescoping lift arms have to be next. Those are a necessity after having converted my implement sway system to sway bar and pins from those horrible turnbuckles.

Then maybe a tooth bar. Im about 4 weeks out from receiving my grapple.

We do need to meet up. Ill see if your around next time I have to head over that way.

I'll mention the sit time at the shop! LOL

I might head over there tomorrow to ask about one to fit mine. I'll ask about yours as well.

I had them swap out the lift arms on mine when I bought it. Think it was about $400 bucks. Have come in handy several times!

When we do meet up, I'll preference that I am truly tractor ignorant. I have to google half the stuff people talk about on here! Sad...

Well I've made about every mistake there is to make so I should be knowledgable. But then again I keep making some of them over and over! LOL!

cphilip - made it over after lunch today. Randy was out, Kyle was busy. Chatted with Paul about my tractor and what not. Got him to give me a ammo box as the lid / "hinge" on the Kioti plastic box has torn already. Paul gave the rep so much crap about it the other day that the rep took some pics of it. lol

All that to say - no one around to give me a quote on the tooth bar. I might stop by next week again as I usually go to Lucky Strike for lunch 2-3 times a week.

I wasn't at all impressed with that plastic box offering. I ended up finding online somewhere with this little metal tractor tool box. It actually bolted right up to existing holes in both box and on tractor. Wrong Orange... but still good enough functionally for my needs.

Let me know what you find out.

Well - Back to the shop! Got it on video this time. 3rd time back in for RPMs/CEL issue. Even worse, is it "might be" picked up today, but then the mechanic is on vacation next week! UGH! "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!"

Are you still buying fuel from the same supplier?
You are getting off road diesel, yes?

The 'tooth bar' you refer too, is that the same or similar to a 'ratchet rake'?

Different supplier. Even tossed my old container and bought a brand new one. Not only that, but it dropped RPMs with the dealer supplied fuel. I had maybe 5 minutes on it after I put 5 gallons in it and it did it again. I supplied video of it doing twice withing 30 seconds while PTO running and another video of PTO not engaged and it happening 3 times within a minute. Mechanic did take note that the CEL light comes on a second or so prior to the RPMs dropping and then it goes off a second or so before they ramp back up to where they were. Not sure if that is important, just something he said he would consider.

Toothbar pic attached. Had one on my previous tractor and I liked it. Ratchet rake looks nice too. I'll have to read up on that! Thoughts on it on the rake?
