Need to pour second cup of coffee. 41° with thunderstorms this morning. Heading to 61° with storms ending by noon. Over 1.6" of rain since yesterday. That should get grass growing. Checked yesterdays plans. Good thing I had no plans. Because that's what I did. Quick trip to Sams for a few things wife has on a list. Then celebrate early Mother's Day with Son and family at a campground they are staying at.
Got email from Woodmaxx. Flail Mower should be delivered Monday.

RS hope your recovery goes quick. Smoking will be hard to break. Get some help with it.

Buppies, and others wishes for continued recovery.

WNG, nice lawnmower.

Roy, be careful that chipper is heavy.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning All.

30 right now...high about 60 today.

First order of business is installing the 3PH components on the tractor, then rigging the ballast box. After that, I've got to get the chipper out of the bed of my truck.

(picture was taken at my workplace just after loading)
Then start the assembly process. Any luck, I'll get it done today. I'll need 7 gallons of hydraulic fluid...thought I had some here, but I don't.

California Reports On Dire Impacts of Climate Change, Fights Back by Becoming First State to Require Solar Panels on New Homes | The Weather Channel

RNG, not looking good for climate in your State. I sent this article to my sister, who is moving to Muir Beach in July.
I've had them checking for water runoff, emergency supplies and evacuation routes, a boat/raft to escape to the water, etc.
thankfully my sister is not dumb about this stuff but they want to live looking at the Pacific Ocean and be close to San Francisco.
I'll consider it another place like South Florida, nice to visit but then you want to live somewhere else due to too many people and congestion.
I'm headed there this Fall, just don't know whether I'm flying or driving. I've never seen the Rockies so the desire to drive is strong.
Not sure I'm physically up to it doing it by myself though. Main issue is staying awake.

Sure would like Cadillac's Super Cruise in a car that costs
half as much. They have all the major highways mapped out by gps with an accuracy of four inches. GPS plus cameras/radar keeps one in middle of lane.
Though I have to admit, thinking about that, when passing a big truck, I sure get over in the left part of the lane I'm in. Who wants to play chicken with a swerving
semi? I wonder how the AI deals with that...

Have a great weekend.

Buppies, glad you are healing and had a good time with your wife...quite a trip up to Staunton from your place...if you found a great restaurant, would love to hear about it. Did you go to the Shakespeare theatre?

BEF, that tiller did a nice job on your garden. We planted ours last week, and all the seeds are germinating now, but no corn.

.

I'd like to know where in Staunton also. From the inlaws in H'burg, we have gone as far south as Roanoke to eat.. Always looking to try new places. On our way down I81, we like to eat in Draper also.

We planning to go to gettysburg for mothers day.

Need to stop in costco and see if i can get 4 truck tires today. Still have original tires on truck, 10 yrs old. They still have lots of tread, but sides cracking bad. Also need back brakes.
