It was 36* this morning, rained off and on all day yesterday. I got up to sunny skies this morning but they are saying a 60% chance of more showers this afternoon. The high will be in in the mid 50's and some wind.

Going to see if I can beat the rain and work on the neighbors fence.

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High 77F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

I’m with Kyle, Drew: Up the viscosity of that oil. Valvoline VR-1 is another one that’s available in straight weights; I used 40wt in the old BMW.

Spoke to soon on the 17” MacBook Pro; applied a software update this morning and it freaked out again. Won’t boot from backup thumb drive, so I’ll try pulling the SSD again to see if it’ll come back with it out of the system.

Had better luck with the Yamaha yesterday and got it running again. Then spent several hours making a special screwdriver to adjust the idle air mixture screw. It was a LOT easier when I figured out I was trying to go into the wrong hole on the carb, which more or less prevented the screw from being adjusted. Bad eyes and a really awkward position on the bottom of the carb are to blame... Finished up by draining all the fuel out of both tank and carb, so it should be ready go to next time when needed.

Got word that both of the gears in the 5th gear set are roached in the big BMW dirt bike, but it looks like they’re available from several German sources for a lot less money than what 4th cost for the Vanagon.

Today it’s the newest BMW’s turn to get polished up and videoed for a Tuesday ebay debut. Hope it goes easier than it did with the Yamaha; it’s been sitting almost as long.

I have a couple herniated disks now...back's been bad since the early 90's and I've already been flat on my back a couple times (from a couple weeks to a couple months). I tend to push myself harder then I should sometimes...typical male stubbornness, I guess.

Had my mom and a sister and BIL and 2 sons/1 wife and wife and niece/husband new baby and other relatives here for cookout yesterday. Good time and lots of leftovers, but was hot out yesterday. Resting up today...may take son and wife to Tex-Mex for Mother's Day lunch.

Heavy storms last night, I stayed over at Ellen’s and came home to planters blown over and into the driveway, but at least it finally rained!
Yesterday we went to my grandsons ballgame, a car show benefiting Alzhiemers, and to an outdoor concert last night. Still recovering today!��

RS, hope you recover quickly, Mom had that done when she was 92, she’s 95 and no more problems.
Glad to see you here, I swore off the politics and my BP is much improved.
