According to the local news channel Harbor Freight has recalled over 1 million electric chain saws made between 2009 and 2018. Apparently there is a problem with the power switch that can cause them to start without pressing the switch.

It's not a problem, it's a new feature [all rights reserved by Microsoft Corp.]

I got a $160 gift card in the mail from HF due to their class action suit for false "sales". More accurately, my son in law got it. I have no idea how they got his address attached to my name. Anyhooo, $160 is about 100 times as much as I expected.

I am 2 miles away from HF eating so I can shop until I drop. The 2 year old 4 stoke line trimmer was fine last week isn't fine today.

How long does that HF string trimmer run on a battery. It's not that I need a lot of time, maybe 20 minutes. Also, is it lighter and easier to handle for 20 minutes compared to my 2 smoker Echo?

It turned out to be a single .065 thousand line so it was a no go in our case.

I bought a welding blanket with 20% off to protect vehicle paint while welding. These any good? Haven't used it yet.

I know this is somewhere in this thread but maybe someone could give me an update, HF is always changing their products. I'm looking at one of their tool boxes. Like the 56" General 11 Drawer unit. It says it has ball bearing slides but it doesn't seem to glide as nice as my fully loaded craftsman box. Just wondering how these tool boxes handle over time and do the drawers slide smoothly when fully loaded. With a 36x19 drawer full of wrenches and screwdrivers can get pretty heavy.
