Why don't people realize this on their own??

Either leave them alone, OR have the balls to kill them!

SR

I’ve relocated plenty of ground hogs. After they were given a dose of lead. Relocating live solves nothing.

Eradication: Just remove any food or habitat capability and they go to greener pasture. Once you have them around they are dangerous to small animals. They will even take down a small dog and greate some bad wounds on bigger dogs. We have them here in town due to the ever present easy food sources stupid people leave around. Some even dliberately feed them thinking they are cute. Here also they carry rabies. Get bit and its the nasty treatment for you.

Dang it anyway... So I cannot continue to live trap rats and dump them near where my boss lives so they have company at night? :rotfl: :rotfl:

I hate it when people relocate their problem animals to some back road. I live on some back road, and I have enough problem animals of my own without dealing with somebody else's. Just my :twocents:

Same here.....as if we don't have enough of them already.

Today caught one in a live trap and released him 4 miles from home.

"Catch and release" is not war. And like jstpssng said, we don't want your refugees, undocumented guest workers or whatever you want to call them. Shoot them and add to the coyote bait pile.

When I have a 'coon' problem, I set the live trap and once trapped I bring them behind the barn where they die of 'led poisoning', and like mcfarmall said, the coyote's clean up the mess.

The Duke dog proof leg trap is the best thing I have found for coons. I bait mine with chicken feed. I tried live traps and would get one or two, then nothing for awhile. With the Duke I can catch coons in the same trap day after day.

A conibear 220p bucket set trap works very well on the wisest of coons, but I prefer my Springfield and a flashlight. It is great night shoot training and if the shot is placed right that coon won't be back.

Down here people get very upset if someone relocate a raccoon to their land. Relocating wild animals must be done by people licensed to be Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators. Fortunately for me, I no longer have to deal with raccoons. My neighbor's catahoulas killed them all. Before I got the help from the catahoulas, I just popped them with my 22 and toss them into the pond to feed the gators.
