New YT-3 359 on order

Finally did it, ordered a new YT-3 359, should be delivered on Sat.

Couldn't justify the extra 9K for the cab, but did get the 3rd value on the back and the loader plus added a couple of other cool features some of the guys told me about. Mainly a hydraulic top and side link on the 3 point setup and delivered for 33k

Looking forward to getting it from the dealer (Agwest out of Rickreall Oregon) =)

I need to do a bunch of work to reclaim some pasture acres which will include pulling a few tillage implements so I didn't want an HST transmission. So I was looking at the GrandL 4052, Deere 4052R and the Yanmar 347 / 359. All three dealers had about the same reputation and are within a 30 mile circle so that was a wash. For transmissions it I liked the GST on the Kubota and the I-HMT on the Yanmar over the power reverse on the Deere.

After that, I talked to a couple of people who had both and ended up going with the Yanmar mainly do to cost. The cash rebate the yanmar has going for it is insane (in my case, over 6k). Before the rebate the yanmar was still about 2.5k cheaper then the GrandL 4052 before the case rebate. Since I didn't need the dealer financing that was about 8.5K I could spend on implements. The AgWest guy also just seems more interested in wanted to help and working with me.

The yanmar as some risk as it is a fairly new model and is computerized to **** and gone, but that seems to be the story with anything now days.

We will see who it goes.

Very nice. I too bought a 359 from AgWest. I found the sales person we delt with to be very helpful as well. Hope to pick mine up this week.

Thinking strongly about a 359. Other contenders are a Deere 4 family, Deere 5 family 3 banger, or a toolcat 5610.
