Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Got a Jumbo 36" Pry Bar a few weeks ago. The right size to move thing around and into place without bending over. Person at register wanted to know where I found them. Told him they were in back of pry bar rack. All you can see is handle. $16 with 20% off and tax.

I use this pry bar when I rotate the tires on my truck. The tires/wheels weigh a lot and I cannot lift them into position so I get the truck about an inch higher than where it needs to be on the jack and then slip the bent end of the pry bar underneath the tire. I push down on the pry bar and that puts the wheel where it goes. Is very easy and sure beats the old way of trying to lift all that weight when in an awkward position.

Bought the portable miter saw stand this weekend. Wife decided she wanted one (go figure) before we start our new deck project. Also picked up another plastic sawhorse to replace the one I broke a couple of weeks ago when I dropped a long section of 1-1/2" solid bar stock on one of the bottom supports. Went in with the coupon from the database to get $20 off the stand, but apparently taking The Wife got us what I call The Hottie Discount. The manager was ringing us out, and gave us $24 off the stand, and another $5 off the sawhorse. We'll take it. Saved almost $30.

Hey PJ,

Isn't the rule: pictures, or it never happened?

Lucky dog!

I have the saw stand, and I really like it- better than my B-I-L's, which IIRC is either Craftsman, or DeWalt.

Until I had all the fasteners attached, I almost over-balanced my saw into an upside DOWN orientation- so if you haven't put yours on yet- be right careful when you have it partly attached.

Thanks, PA. Appreciate the heads-up.

It's still in the box, so no pics yet. Ironically, perhaps, it'll be holding a Craftsman saw. :confused3:
