Loader WHAT IS QUICK ABOUT QUICK COUPLINGS?

Self bleeding valve? Does my loader have this? I don't think so but maybe I'm missing something? After 7 months and from highs of 40 degrees to today's 80, heat expansion is going to be an issue I think. Your "slightly" better, is probably a correct assumption. A single lever to snap four fittings in place, would have it all over individual struggles with 4 separate fittings. I don't build tractors but even I know this. Why doesn't JD?

They know it, they just don't add the extra cost to all of the product lines. Most consumers aren't demanding anything better, so why bother?

Anyone mentioned the loader hydraulic connector on the new Kubota BX80 series? Seems like that is what you are looking for. Makes a lot of sense for homeowner type use, where you might be taking the loader on and off more often...and are willing to pay for easy-of-use features.

Single-point hydraulic connection to save time and eliminate oil loss

The "SINGLE POINT HYDRAULIC CONNECTION" mentioned by BIGTILLER in post #34 above is shown in this video at the 14:22 time.

When I clicked on it all I got was a page from a H480 loader manual for a series 7 & 8 row-crop tractor. Here is an interesting vidio but the guy doesn't say anything. I don't know if it is homemade or factory.

Rustyshakelford, I will try that next time and hope it will help but ultimately, imagine just lining up the four fittings and swinging a lever to engage. Done! No matter if I do as you suggest, pray to the Gods, watch the Zodiac, roll three snake eyes, this process should not require this. Old, antiquated fittings that require a special touch, is 1970, not 2018. That's nearly 50yrs. I will never believe this system to be adequate. Like I stated in my original post, it sucks.
Don't expect this to be a cheap and easy solution. Those couplers are pricey and you still have to release the pressure.
I hooked once up without releasing the pressure and blew a seal. It wouldn't fit on my pinky finger and it was $30.

What it sounds like to me is it's all about the pressure, before hook up one must relieve the pressure, in 11 years I never taken my FEL off but when I do I'll try to remember to relieve the pressure, if that dont work I start throwing hammers to relieve my pressure.

Anyone else remember the quick couplers, of fifty or so years ago, where you inserted the male tip and then gave it a twist to lock it in? The female part had a helical groove to accept a pin in the male part and then a detent at the end of the groove. Not sure but I am guessing they could be connected under pressure. Maybe a good simple idea lost in time?
