I don't know what off-road diesel is going for around here. At the gas station, regular gas is around $2.95 today and diesel is $3.25, so .40 difference today.
Gas prices are going up. I took my three 6 gallon cans and a 2 gallon can in, so that was 20 gallons, then I put the nozzle into my Suburban that was on 1/4 tank, and ran it until the pump shut off at $100. That only brought it up to about 5/8 tank. They lost out on a $36 additional sale by shutting me off at $100. I could have taken another 12 gallons. Dang Suburban has a 42 gallon tank!

We had some nice low gas prices.... so the state raised the gas tax to fund more highway projects. 
We (Indiana) tied California for the highest gas tax hikes in the country over the past year. Percentage wise, Indiana had the highest increase in cost to fill your tank last year. Gas costs 30% more in Indiana this year compared to the same time last year. California only increased 22%. The national average increased only 19%.
They should change Hoosier to hoser.

Years ago I put a 60gal fuel tank in my GMC diesel truck. It was from Transfer Flow in Chico, CA. Excellent modification I will do this to any truck I buy. I've saved a lot of $$ by watching for low diesel prices and then filling up.
btw, just fueled my motor home in the Carson City, NV area. Diesel was $3.15/gal which is a good buy around here. But, the pump was slow and it clicked off at $100 so, like you, I didn't buy more.
I really dislike the purposely slowed down pumps. They slow it to encourage you to visit the little store and buy something. I didn't buy anything and left without giving them the max they could have gotten from me-- if I could have pumped past $100.

To get off road here is a PITA. on road to on road fuel to gas is what I'm saying. Why can't you buy off road gas?? If have a boat it sure isn't on the highway and you pay road tax on the gas. Diesel trucks here pay road use tax on the gallon instead of quarterly so every diesel pick up and diesel car pays road use tax on the gallon same as an 18 wheeler. There is no way to get your tax money back for non commercial use..... This is why we pay so much for diesel in Pa. once they get your money they don't give back..... jim

Boat gas at the marinas is pushing $3.75 to over $4.00 per gallon. Be glad you can run road gas in your boat! :laughing:

You can also submit a tax exempt for at the time of fuel purchase for farm use ATVs.
May an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) that will be used in farming be purchased exempt from sales tax?
Heck, there's all kinds of stuff you can get for farm use and not pay taxes.... like udder wipers.

That always drives me nuts buying fuel in the States. That pay before you pump thing. I don't think, I have ever seen that in Canada. Heck, come to think of it, maybe the ONLY thing I like about Canada! Well, maybe that and our Prime Minister Zoolander's Fake stick-on Eye Brows!

I don't mind paying at the pump at all. Keeps me out of the mini-mart where the rif-raf hang out, and..... I don't need any more beef jerky, either.
But what I don't like is being cut off at $100. Many years ago they used to cut you off at $75. But when gas prices started going north of $3.00/gallon, they finally raised it to $100. But with a 42 gallon tank, @ $3.00 per gallon, about 33.3 gallons = $100 and I could use a few more gallons.
