Still to come:

Either a Harbor Freight or Agr-Supply QA
EA 55" Wicked Root Grapple
Piranha Bar for the bucket
......?

Need to assemble a tractor tool kit. I probably have a lot of the tools already but would like to put them together in a separate tool box.

Assortment of wrenches in most common sizes for tightening bolts (assume this will be metric)
Grease gun (have a Pittsburg Pistol Grip automotive grease gun w/ extension)
Grease (have red grease in the cannister. What other kinds?)
Need to buy a GOOD tire gauge
I use a compressor to fill GT tires now, is that okay? special fitting?
Have a battery tender for the car, anyone use them?

Does anyone wax their tractors? :)

Congrats on the new tractor!

Help us help you by telling us a little about what you'll be using the tractor and implements for. From the listing, it looks like you'll be clearing a road, and some brush...but what do I know? :confused3:

Couple of suggestions for you to consider:

I see you have the FEL & HST. You have a lot of grease fittings to maintain. You might want to consider a power grease gun. Dewalt makes a great one. I can grease all the zerks on my 2538 in less than 5 minutes. It takes standard cartridges. I get my grease @ TS, or HD.

If you have significant topography to maintain, you might want to consider cruise control. It takes a lot of pressure off your right leg/knee, especially if you're maintaining a road, path, or brush-hogging.

As far as QA, take a look at Pat's Quick attach. Several of us on the board have it and it works great.

You might also want to check out asktractormike.com. He has about a 100 videos on various elements of owning, maintaining, hauling, and implements. I've picked up several ideas from him. And of course all of the fine people on this board.

Welcome, and keep us posted please.

15 acres that is hilly to steep-10 acres of which is heavily wooded. Maintaining driveway, trails, rough road down to the ponds, plus various garden/landscape tasks, plus horse stuff, moving compost and so on.

Is the power grease gun air-powered? Is the HF Sta-Plex premium red grease the right stuff?

Since I can't travel more than 20 feet without a hill or obstacle, cruise control wasn't much of a concern for me.....

I saw the Pat's QA but am kind of attracted to the other two based on a thread on QA.

Yes, asktractormike.com is very good!

(I see you've got a bigger Mahindra. I REALLY liked the 1526 but it just wouldn't fit through my woods!)

Thank you. :)

The piranha toothbar along with the harbor freight quick hitch are probably the best purchases I've made for my mahindra. I don't know that I'd drop the coin on the power grease gun but Id highly recommend dropping the couple bucks on the lock and lube grease gun fitting.

Congrats on the purchase. surely you love it as much as I love mine.

Yes! Forgot the Piranha tooth bar. Decided early on it's a must-have for my tasks.

Still researching the grease-gun thing. I may need power due to my hands not being near as strong as y'alls.

Looking forward to sharing with my fellow Mahindra owners.

I really can't say how happy I am. This is a life-long dream for me. Mattt, yep, *love* is the right word for sure. The heart soaring, the perpetual smile, the sighs, the future plans, the anticipation, can't eat, can hardly sleep. :)

Was talking last night with a girlfriend who, like me, well, we're just not "regular" girls I guess. More the "can do" type. Love hard work and the outdoors, cars, tools, etc. We were trying to figure out why it's so exciting to have a tractor and it came down to how we love to do stuff, improve stuff, create stuff, always a new project--and a tractor just lets you do so much more, with so much less effort. I have moved *mountains* with my back and a shovel. No more.

She has major tractor envy. :)
