Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

What I do not like at all about that type of pry bar compared to my Craftsman Professional set is that those are not steel from tip to handle butt. You can not beat those with a mini sledge to drive them in. The better brands have a steel strike plate at the butt of the handle, and the steel bar passes totally through the handle to where the strike plate is attached.

That is true. Those bars run more than the $16 for a HF. I use mine for projects similar to sixdogs.

I'd like an affordable set with strike plate butt ends. I've not seen HF offer any built that way, do you know if any other sources of (cheap) yet great pry bars?

I have the 4 piece set and abuse it often. I have hammered on the handle with no issues but continuous abuse would probably break it. For the price I paid with a coupon I will continue to beat on them. I'll weld my own handle on if needed. :D

Everyone that rotates their own truck tires should have one of these pry bars.

32-3/4 in. Jumbo Pry Bar

My truck tires weigh a LOT and are a bear to get back on when rotating but not with this giant screwdriver with a curved end. It's around 3 ft long and often on sale and with a coupon for around $11.

When putting the wheel back on I just roll it into position and stick the curved blade under the tire and slightly to one side or the other if the holes don't quite line up. The curve and lever does the lifting by pushing the tool down. Rotating now is no problem.
I use my 3' long crowbar to do the same thing.
Couldn't beat the price, "free". Handed down from my Grandfather. :D

I have one of those inherited 3’ crowbars. Nice tool. But the claw hook always seems to be in the way of prying something that last 1/8” into place.

Funny you should mention 1/8th inch but for close alignment I have one of these drift pin pry bars, or whatever it's called, and it works super. If I'm trying to line up two holes that won't go, this does the trick. Lines up most anything that won't line up and with a coupon is around $7. It's got a point on one end and a pry bar on the other. Like many things from China, I don't expect a lot out of it so I don't beat on it with a sledge hammer. It's fine for my purpose of lining up holes and such.

I found at Tractor Supply, a large crescent wrench that has one of those built-in as the handle, they call it a spud wrench. It works great to get implements lined up as well as to tighten up nuts and bolts, they now sell one like that, but it also has a spot on it to hammer with.
