Has anybody here done this?

The shop manual refers to a cruise control lever and also shows an input on the electrical system as well as in the troubleshooting section.

My dealer is clueless and CC wasn稚 殿vailable for me to add when I bought the machine.

Has anyone added a Kubota cruise control to a different machine? I知 guessing the grand L series probably has the option of HST cruise.

Not meaning to hyjack your thread... but I have three HST machines and do not use the cruise on any of them. If you are traveling long distances it might be handy, but I find it more of a ' nice idea ' that ' sounds good ' like being able to manually shift your automatic transmission on a truck. Or having a cup holder. If I was plowing or disking long distances, I probably would have bought a power reverser gear trans. So, do not lose sleep over not having it....

I want it for mowing and/or driving on the road. Mowing is the biggly reason I want it and would use it all the time! The only thing I miss about gear tractors...

I’m looking for an electronic cruise control. I’m not sure if I need an additional ECM or if it’s just a matter of adding the switches for engage/set. The HST is already drive by wire.

Since its drive by wire, why couldnt you splice in a switch that when flipped, it bypasses the rheostat and effectively simulates full pedal? Or even a mechanical lever which pulls the pedal down, just like the backhoe creeper does, only moreso?

There's a wiring harness already present to connect something. The hydro pedal is servo and doesn't need mechanical linkage.

What I don't know is if its just a switch connected to the harness or an additional ECM to handle the cruise control. My Kubota dealership isn't helpful in funding the answer from Kubota.

OK, I opened up my M59 shop manual and looked.... sure enough, the wiring harness diagram shows wiring specifically for a "cruise control". And a "cruise control lever" is also mentioned in at least one other place - just as you saw. But there is nothing that I could find in the text that mentioned how to adjust or actuate the cruise control - or to trouble shoot it.

The Grand L series use the same engine and transmission. Do they or the M62 have a functional cruise control lever?
