Amazing pictures. In one picture, the water looks like it's almost up to the headlights, yet in another a person is standing just a foot or two in front of tractor and water is barely over their ankles.

We've got one like that on our place. The county comes along and cleans it out every few years. This year, with all the heavy rain we've had, they cleaned it out soon after, as it goes under a state highway. If debris plugs up the culvert under the HWY, it would wash out the road quickly.

You're lucky that didn't get stuck there this spring, eh? Did that creek swell like pretty much the rest did around here?

I recall a news story just a few months ago where someone was killed unsticking their tractor using that method.... the log caught them and that was that.

As with anything, things can go wrong, so think it out.

That method looks like a real good way to flip the tractor backward over on yourself. In the video he does not have a ROPS. This is so scary: Dad almost crushed by tractor after flipping upside down

I can't find it but used to have a picture of Dad's old M with it's smokestack driven into the ground after he chained railroad ties to the rears and let out the clutch. Luckily for dad he had quick reflexes on that day and jumped off.
