To start off here is a quick review of the HF Lynxx 40v ($129 and up)
Hopefully we can round some of these up.
In http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/chainsaws/392710-looking-pole-saw.html#post5057113 I posted about the HF Lynxx 40v
Today I got to use it for about a half hour while riding my M4700 and trimming branches. No pics because I've only 2 hands
I fully extended it and laid it across my front (which has the 2 bucket stand braces horizontal) and rear fender. So I could drive up, get near enough to a branch I wanted cut, lift up the polesaw and trim. The weight was manageable from the sitting position (no seat belt).
Note for SAFETY POLICE I did wear a hardhat and ear protection.
The first 2 limbs I cut were about 2" in diameter with about 10' of branch. They fell across and were caught by the bucket on the FEL. WOW! I thought this is great!

They were the only two
The rest of the time I let them fall where they may so I could come back and pick them up later.
The hardhat protected me from a couple of falling limbs.
Note I also have an Echo PPT 280 with 20' of reach.

But that is too big for me to use as a "ride-a-long" jousting lance
In summary - a good polesaw, long lasting battery, does not leak oil or use much.
I've only used it for maybe 3 hours and the chain is still sharp.
Battery lasts longer than my arms.
Hopefully we can round some of these up.

<snip>
After having used the Lynxx some more I think it will fit in great carried on my M4700 and used to trim trail bushes. The 10' may be adequate. It will not do for my needs of trimming most trees where the branches would be far out of it's little 10' reach, which is about the collapsed length of my PPT 280.
