On the LA1065 FEL that I have, I need to replace a grease fitting (it's not angled in the right direction). What size zerk/fitting are they?

Google: "how to remove zerk fitting"
or
Google: "how to remove a bolt"
and
Google: "how to measure thread pitch"

go to Amazon and buy this
Grip Thread Pitch Gauge MM & SAE - Hand Tool Sets - Amazon.com
and/or this
Nut and Bolt Gauge, Metric, UNC, UNF, with Thread Pitch on Back(5 Colors to Choose From in Listing) (WHITE) - - Amazon.com
and buy a metric and SAE assortment kit like one of these
Amazon Search

Go to this website and read
Bolt Depot - About Thread Pitch and Thread Count

Congrats. You now have "the knowledge" to amaze and impress your neighbours and friends.

Women will find you irresistible if you smear some axel grease behind your right ear, on your neck, and above your butt crack.

Yup. I got a huge kit I bought off Amazon or eBay a while ago. Would you believe I use the kit at least once or twice a year?!

I also have a nice pneumatic greaser... I love it.

Ya, get a kit with a pile of them off Amazon or from your local farm/ranch type store. Several dozen are $15 or so. The kit comes with various size threads & head angles. You'll need the metric kit for the Kubota, but I'd pick up the SAE kit for spares for your impliments.

Oh, and on a few of my 45 or 90 degree heads I stuck a washer under the zerk so they pointed in a direction I could get my grease gun on when tight.

Easy, next to the set you couldn't find after you buy and use the new ones.
Applies to any small pieces you have put away in a safe place for future use.
I wrote that because I had recently been searching my Mississippi shops for hose clamps. I knew EXACTLY where they were hanging in my Virginia shop but couldn't find them here. Next day bought a pack from Walmart for $2.57 for 4. Next day found my $6, 40 piece pack from HF :)

Buy an assortment.

And remember where you put them!

That's the darn problem, I've got 2 sm. boxes of them & can't find either one haha! Looks like I'm off to the auto parts store to buy a 3rd...

That's smart, I could do this w/ the one I'm talking about. Now if only I could find my washers too lol
