How many of those that are experiencing this leaking is using Super UDT? At 400 hours I replaced my factory UDT with Super UDT and started to experience the leaking during the summer hot months while bush hogging. I remember my dealer telling me NOT to use UDT or Super UDT in my front axle as it would leak from the seals. He said to use gear oil which is what I did there and have never had a leak. He never said anything about the rest of the hydraulics, so I went with Super UDT. Now I am starting to wonder if the molecular structure and thinness of the Super UDT, especially at hot temperatures, may be the cause of these leaks. From what I have read most are occurring after the first 400 hours hydraulic fluid change which most folks change over to Super UDT.

Mine went out with the original oil and no more than a couple hundred hours or so. I am using the new Super UD2 and no problems, about 600 hours on it.

Well, that answers that question!! My dealer told me to just watch the oil level and keep adding as needed. Said maybe fix it over the winter. He has done a couple and told me it was about a $400-500 job unless a bearing or shaft is worn. He wouldn't know that until it was torn down. Doesn't sound bad to me!!

Mine didn't leak much, but it was under warranty and pickup/delivery was free. My dealer has two dealerships and the newest had never done one so the shop foreman said he would prefer to do it and teach his technicians. He figured out a way to do it without removing the cab and replaced a couple of new seals in since it was apart.

That seems like a long time, but sometimes they just get overwhelmed. My local dealer Davis Farm Supply hauled in about a gazillion loads of fill and doubled the size of their business and hired more mechanics to provide quicker service and bigger inventory; sure has helped.
Yeah I brought it in right at the height of hay season.

I've got the same problem on my 2013 L5740. Would you mind sharing what it cost you to get yours repaired?
The thought of having to remove the cab and split the tractor is somewhat daunting. Glad my dealer has a good service department.
