Well, from your screen name, your a good woman.

I've heard that skunks actually make good pets.

I'm at the age that killing anything that I'm not going to eat isn't worth the feeling after the fact. That said, perhaps I'm blessed that I don't have any nuisance wild animals.
It needs to be changed though, as it's a bit outdated.

I shot a skunk a couple of years ago and had no scent problem at all. In hindsight #4 buckshot through a turkey choke was a bit of overkill, but when the dog woke me up to tell me that something was in the turkey pen I grabbed the first gun and shells that I could put my hands on.
I felt bad afterwards because it was just hanging out and not hurting anything; then the rabies test came back positive so I was glad that I disposed of it.

Sure I'll take them.... :cool2:

You can keep the spider.
I'll bet he has some outdoor spiders, maybe black widows, he can give you, no charge!.. as for the others, Please let us know here, how it works out for you!.. remember that those animals will possibly make a home under, and possibly in, your house you live in!. I hear that copperheads make good pets once you tame them.. you have to be really nice.. just remember, all these creatures will multiply..

I did not find this post funny. She doesn’t like killing animals is all, no crime in that. Maybe let’s not chase the occasional girl off of TBN? They are nice to have around.

I really don't think most people would think that was chasing anyone, I was just being realistic. no offense meant to her..

I think at some point in the past it was a fad to remove the scent glands and keep them as pets. Maybe in the 60's?

Died out in the early 80's. The gal that cut grams hair had a pet skunk. One of her kids snagged it as a baby and the vet removed it's scent glands. It was a pretty tame and friendly.
