I'm still trying to pull my boot out of my you know what after talking to AGCO this afternoon.
I have a 2014 GC1705 that has 224 hours on the clock, I had air getting into the fuel system, took me three weeks of an hour here and there to figure out there is something wrong with my injection pump, no air going in and air coming out of the return line which was causing a slow to start after sitting, the air would get purged into the fuel tank and then while the tractor sat for several hours the air would cause the fuel to leak back into the pump and empty the injector lines.
So I remove the pump and send it the pump guy in SC (Mike) very nice, helpful guy. He received it today for a rebuild.
I decide to email AGCO a couple of days ago and express my concerns about a defective pump at just over 200 hours, today I get a phone call from my local dealer (65 miles away) and they tell me AGCO contacted them and told them to come get my tractor and fix it and AGCO would pay the bill.. They tell me the Injector pump, injectors and all parts of the fuel systems are part of emissions and it is a covered repair beyond the normal warranty, I had no clue this was the case. I would have never did what I did if I knew that, I doubt there are many that do know that.
So I write this thread for one reason, to let folks know if you have a fuel related issue with your tractor and you are beyond your warranty, give the local dealer a call, it might be worth it to do so.
They also told me if I get the pump back and I still have an issue to call them and they will come get it, fix it and return it to me at no cost to me, that's pretty good of them if you ask me..
